djanai qaik ep:

Fuck

kristen:

I hope it caught that. I think I hit it right. As you said that. Hello everyone. this is quad has it's kept the podcast.

djanai qaik ep:

Not anymore.

Track 1:

Oh my gosh.

djanai qaik ep:

Yeah. Welcome to quiet. As it's kept, we started a recording, um, technical, difficult to use. We're starting again, you know, it's a new Dawn, it's a new day. It's a new fucking mic, which we have to get used to

Track 1:

Yes. Yes.

djanai qaik ep:

Mike. So, um, welcome back. If you are coming back, uh, Just welcome. If you're new I'm DNA

Track 1:

And I'm Christian.

djanai qaik ep:

and this is quiet as it's kept the podcast, a true crime show comedy podcast brought to you by two black girls who had nothing better to do how y'all doing.

kristen:

we're good. How are y'all?

djanai qaik ep:

Y'all we're talking to ourselves. Fuck. Um, I mean, that's all, this is really, but people will do a podcast and it's just them.

Track 1:

more power to you because. Mean, that's hard.

djanai qaik ep:

That is, is, do you know how committed you have to be to first record your whole self, then go in and edit

Track 1:

okay.

djanai qaik ep:

It must be music to your damn ears because I would not, if it wasn't for Kristen, I would not be here. Trying to edit my own voice. Everybody hates us onto their own voice, but God damn

Track 1:

I skipped through my part sometimes when I listen to the episodes because

djanai qaik ep:

you're hilarious. You have to listen. I hate her.

Track 1:

times, country words come out. I don't even mean it. The wrinkle just

djanai qaik ep:

It do be coming out though.

Track 1:

and jumping and pussy popping out. It's disgusting.

djanai qaik ep:

That the accent does come out. My accent is not that it's not that serious. Nobody knows where I'm

Track 1:

Unless you're really man. And then, and then like some New York lingo just slips right on in there,

djanai qaik ep:

Well, it was the plate.

Track 1:

Yeah. Like you've got me tight right now. you got me fucked up. Okay. I learned a new one today on Tik TOK. What does like. Uh, not like this has popped like popped. Did you all say that or is that like a Staten Island or like Jersey thing?

djanai qaik ep:

Don't wait, hold on. Um, I've heard people use it before. Um, it's generally not good, but I haven't heard anybody use it like I'm angry. So I'm popped. Not

Track 1:

Well, The Tik TOK skit was like, when you and your home girl, go to the bathroom at like a link, like they're at like, I guess some do towels and like, they don't want to be there. And she was like, dad, this is like mad pops. Like, I can't believe you brought me here.

djanai qaik ep:

Oh, we're going to have to have somebody else from New York. Um, I'm gonna have to fro the friends

Track 1:

I'm just,

djanai qaik ep:

cause I, I personally, I don't like to use slang. The reason why is because I don't like when something else is going to dictate how I talk, how I express myself, I feel like it's, you know, it needs to be authentic. If I do use some slang, I'm usually being ironic. But to me, it's a little weird that people just start saying like this shit slaps. I'm like, you never said that shit before you just learned that two weeks ago and now it's a part of your everyday vernacular. Who are

Track 1:

Right. And I think it happens too. New York slang a lot, like with dead ass, like people just throw deadass in at anything. And it's like, you're doing too much. Or like, you're let me get a bacon, egg, and cheese. It's like, bitch, you are from Alabama. The fuck. Are you saying, what are you saying

djanai qaik ep:

it's mad for me. Like when people are like, Oh, and people use it wrong all the time, just like, I don't know how you could possibly mess this up. It's like the simplest thing, but Matt gets overused. Um, Dead ass gets used, but it's usually funny to me when people say it, look, I'll say something like, are you serious? I'm like, I'm dead ass. I'm like, wow, you're from Wisconsin, but go off.

Track 1:

Right or now brick, which I just found out what that meant. Um, literally, probably like three months ago, someone explained it on Twitter. I was like, yeah, it just means when it's like really cold outside, I'm like, okay, cool. But I'm not going to go around and start being like, uh, it's brick out here in Georgia. Like I would sound so stupid. Like, come on. People like stay in your lane.

djanai qaik ep:

Keep it regional. Okay.

Track 1:

Yeah.

djanai qaik ep:

Yeah. I don't know what, what are some, I don't first off, whatever the accent is down here. Like if you really, from Georgia. That shit is a whole language. It's a different dialect when like, there'll be like videos and things like that are from Georgia talk. And I'm like, I don't know. What you just said is doesn't even English

Track 1:

right. Right. Well, there's pockets. There's obviously like Atlanta, accidents. There's like. Down-home North Georgia. And it's more like everything kind of ends with the question. And like you just drag your words a little bit and Hey honey, how are you? How are you doing? Um, which is what I grew up around. Uh,

djanai qaik ep:

clearly, cause you sound like blanche Devereaux, but I'm talking about the,

Track 1:

softball mom in North Georgia talks like that.

djanai qaik ep:

I'm talking about the, the niggas like the who, who, who rap, who, trap. Goodbye. This is over. Oh my God. Yeah. I don't know what they're saying. I don't know what they're saying.

Track 1:

Me neither.

djanai qaik ep:

Um,

Track 1:

So, uh, this episode is brought to you by, the Atlanta Hawks. So last night, A woman who happened to be from the land of Caucasian. She started harassing and yelling at my favorite athlete of all time. LeBron James. Now I want to preface this with saying, I never go up for men like ever, but if there's one, man, I'm gonna go to war for. I'm gonna go to war it's LeBron, Ramon. Okay.

djanai qaik ep:

Not the middle name. Okay. I'm glad you're given this breakdown because I didn't watch any of it. I heard white woman in LeBron, James, and I just, I said, let me turn my eyes child. Let me just look for something else. I refuse to even give it any energy, because I was just like, first off I saw the screenshots and I was like, I know this white woman porque face is not trying to say anything about LeBron James. Uh, so I was just like, yo, like, this is, I know this is trash, but please the play-by-play continue.

Track 1:

she ends up getting, uh, squirted out of the game because she's literally standing up pointing her finger, yelling at him and she then decides to be Billy badass and get on her Instagram story. And she's like, Listen, we just got kicked out of the fucking game because LeBron car stopped my husband. And then I told him I cursed him back out. He told me to shut the fuck up and sit down bitch. And I told him, no, you shut the fuck up, bitch. Okay. You're not going to talk to my husband like that. then proceeds to add more to her story about how, like, I can't believe LeBron would let like this 25 year old girl get to him like that. Like, wow, like, I'll fuck you up. LeBron, like actually said those

djanai qaik ep:

No, no.

Track 1:

she did on her Instagram story. Like she was feeling herself. And so all this is coming out and people proceed to roast this woman fulfilled one. We don't believe that that happened. You and your husband were probably talking shit saying some disrespectful shit. Mind you. There was only about, I want to say maybe 30, maybe 40 people at the gay men. It was only courtside seats. So there was no other extra fans. So, you know, these players can hear everything that these people are yelling at them. And it's one thing to go to a game and hoop and holler, and maybe, you know, yell out, you know, bad call ref. But if you're being blatantly disrespectful, these are human beings. At the end of the day, there's only so much disrespect you can take. This is their place of employment. And I'll be damned if you're barking in my ear and saying disrespectful shit. So that's number one, two. She says she's 25, but she looks a hard

djanai qaik ep:

No seriously. When you said she was 25, I was like, what, what part of her is 25?

Track 1:

said in dog years, like what is going on?

djanai qaik ep:

seriously though. She looks crazy.

Track 1:

She does. And not in a good way. And

djanai qaik ep:

is spoiled. The

Track 1:

sports and then press, then people proceeded to scour through her Instagram and find her husband. And he's a hard 72. And he has a hip replacement away from ARP. What were you or your husband going to do to a six, nine, 250 pound man? Cause it surely was not going to be fucking him up. I can tell you that.

djanai qaik ep:

not the stats that you know how big he is. You got him size the fuck up since

Track 1:

That's my roll dog period. No, cause I stayed at her before him period. Okay.

djanai qaik ep:

I know that's right. I know. That's right.

Track 1:

So I just want to shout out to the Atlanta Hawks for nipping it in the bud. I know he doesn't play for them, but they quickly escorted her out because fuck you. Um, I don't care if you have every course, I'd see in the world. You're not LeBron James baby. And you'll probably not be welcome back, but don't do that shit. Like I to get into sports and yell at athletes, but it's from the comfort of my home, I would never go to a game and be yelling out mad, disrespectful shit. You see what I did there? Uh,

djanai qaik ep:

Yeah,

Track 1:

some players like chill out, relax. Stay in your place, sit the hell down. And also she deleted her whole story by today because I'm sure someone spoke to her quickly and told her to take it down.

djanai qaik ep:

Don't yell at LeBron yell at your fucking surgeon for doing that to your face. Don't play with LeBron, play, play with your nurse practitioner because I saw them lips. I was like, I'm clocked the fuck out. Like, I don't care what she has to say. I can't hear shit.

Track 1:

Right,

djanai qaik ep:

worry about Juvederm.

Track 1:

Screen moisturizer

djanai qaik ep:

right. Um, all right, well, yes, this week is also brought to you by. Black history month. Okay. We need a longer month to quote, not a month sly smile thing to quote personal queen. the goddess herself. Ms. Whitney Houston. Seriously. She's royalty. Um, rest in peace, Whitney. I love you. Um, but yeah, so it's black history month. We going to be extra blackity black, black I guess, because, um, why not? We do it all the time, but we really going to turn that shit, the fuck up. February is our time, our time to be loud and to be proud and to be black and to be beautiful and to highlight our history, our culture, our blackness, everything that makes us amazing. And. We've been so fucking generous to share our gifts and our talent and everything that we bring to the table with the world. So it's time to celebrate that shit.

Track 1:

can you say it loud? I'm black and I'm proud by James Brown.

djanai qaik ep:

I think, you know what we should do, Kristen, and we should highlight a black something, a black owned business, or like a black artist or something. Maybe that should be our so high as for the rest of the month or something. I mean, outside of this week. But I think I'm going to choose something blackity black, black to highlight as the so high and spread some, some awareness or whatever that

Track 1:

I started today. He had two out of a basketball game.

djanai qaik ep:

You're right. You're right. It don't get no more black than that.

Track 1:

It's black history month and we are beating bitches up. I beat bitches.

djanai qaik ep:

up against the Pope. Whitney. I don't talk, I don't argue. I beat bitches up. Yes. Amen. Um, okay. So before we get into the story, we just want to make an announcement. So. We promised and we were gonna have to cut that fully out. They're gonna hate us. Um, yes, we deliver. So. As some of you may recall, we had a giveaway about two, three weeks ago for the quiet as it's kept mug. Um, and one lucky winner, shout out to Rachel Kim.

Track 1:

Ooh.

djanai qaik ep:

she was the winner of the giveaway and I know a lot of people had messaged us and comments and saying like, um, can I just buy the damn mug? And the answer now is yes. Yes. Yes, you probably, if you haven't seen it. Oh my God. You want to try that again?

Track 1:

Okay, sorry. Yeah, cause it definitely got caught in my throat. There we go. That was pretty gross guys.

djanai qaik ep:

so yeah, something y'all asked for the month to be available in is now available. Um, some of you may have seen, we made an announcement on our Instagram and on Twitter. Uh, the mug is now available for purchase. on our new website. so we'll include links everywhere so you guys can buy it. Um, if you buy now, you'll definitely get it before Valentine's day. Shipping and stuff usually takes about, seven days. So, um, Yeah, you still got some time to get in, get in your stuff. You're getting your orders before Valentine's day. If you want to gift this mug to a true crime lover or just your lover. Uh, Can now own this quiet as it's kept mug. Uh, yeah, it's pretty exciting. Look at a cell and merge and the bonnets are coming. We are, we're hearing you. That's what people say when they see us. That's how we warn the Americans, uh, that were coming. Um, Yeah. So we're working on that. Like actually, if not for y'all like, I just want one. I really do want, and I need a bonnet, like a good one. So I'm working on it. it. So that's it for announcements now, Kristen, Kristen has a story for us. It's her week to go. So I'm gonna sit back.

Track 1:

all right. All right. People. So the story is giving lifetime movie. It's giving MES it's giving. Hmm. You're you're going to see. All right. So. I am going to take my keepers to Anaheim, California, and we are in late 2013. I'm going to introduce you guys to a woman by the name of Michelle Hadley. Michelle at this time is 26 years old. She is a woman who was working in marketing. She was described as a very nice, but private girl, extremely nerdy, and I don't want to call her. A plain Jane, but think of just like a Brown haired, big guide, I wear jeans and blouses type of girl.

kristen:

But Michelle was also a woman who had only been in one relationship her entire life. Up until this point, she was married at 22 to her high school, sweetheart.

djanai qaik ep:

righty. I mean, you know what, nothing against that. Sorry. Shut up DNA.

Track 1:

Right? Right. I cannot personally relate ever, but you all the people out there with high school sweethearts, we love you way to go. If you are still together,

djanai qaik ep:

Yeah. You, you put all your eggs in that basket girls

Track 1:

Right. So at this point in 2013, unfortunately the relationship had definitely stalled. It would have fallen very flat and so four years into it, they would get a divorce. I E she's 26. Now she got married at 22. So Michelle would finalize the divorce and she was like, you know what, I'm ready to put myself back out there. And she would join a dating website and very quickly she meant, I didn't say which one you said dating website. I'm assuming, I don't know. Plenty of, plenty of fish, like really big back in the day before it was like

djanai qaik ep:

like to be murdered. Yeah.

Track 1:

murdery

djanai qaik ep:

Fucked it up and all that murder shit.

Track 1:

yeah. Then people figured I was like, Oh yeah, murder. Him could be easy from this. so join the dating website and she quickly met a man by the name of Ian Diaz. So Ian was a little bit older than Michelle. He was 35 years old. And he was a us Marshall actually. And Michelle described to me as someone who was very sweet. He was extremely attentive towards her, you know, all about her and someone who loved his job and was a hard worker. And she was like, he really was, they seem to be into me. So this story presents. Multiple red flags that I am going to take you through. so for starters in, still lived at home with his mother, which no shame. No shade whatsoever, but I did a quick little Google's search and you can Marshall's in 2013, we're making around 40 to$45,000, depending on. Your rank, whatever, what state you live in. So around like$20 per hour varying, which, yeah, which means he was definitely not down and out. And he was getting a consistent paycheck. And I want to preface this with these are red flags from someone who has dated people and who has been with different partners, someone who has only been with one partner. Probably a little more naive doesn't necessarily see some of these as glaring as maybe someone else on the outside looking in would see them.

djanai qaik ep:

Well, maybe because context is important, right? Like if he's living at home because he's saving up for a house or something, or maybe because like, who knows maybe his, his work has some moving from place to place. It doesn't make sense for him to like buy a house. that's a possibility too, but if he doesn't move for work and he's like, none of that is a factor then. Yeah. It's like, you know, why wouldn't you want to have your own place? Like have your own

Track 1:

right. Right. And he is very close to being 36. That is the cutoff baby.

djanai qaik ep:

Oh that long

Track 1:

No. yeah, people do it for a different amount of reasons, but. Red flag number two. And this is from my opinion, on their second date, Ian would tell Michelle that he loves her, that he only wants to be with her. He loves her. He wants to be with her. And now Michelle didn't initially freak out because she was like, listen, I'm

djanai qaik ep:

My pussy pop severely. Okay. I can't help it if you guys are so in love with me.

Track 1:

Right. And she was saying he's 35, I'm 26. This is an older man that I'm dating. Who knows what he wants. He's ready to settle down. He wants to be with just me and, you know, it felt good to her. She felt really loved. Um, now on date number two now,

djanai qaik ep:

hold on. Can I, have a story. So in my early twenties, I want to say no, I was like 19. I was approached by the sky when, at my job. And he was just like, you know, you're so beautiful. I want to take you out for my birthday. And I was like, Oh, okay. So, he takes me out. We go to dinner, we walk around the city for a bit. And I'm ready to go home. He was, he wasn't the best date at all. He was a fucking weirdo. So he's like, Oh, the, the equivalent of, let me walk you home in fucking in Atlanta is let me ride the train to your stop in New York. So he's like, I'll ride the train with you to your stop. I said, okay, cool. And on this train ride, this young man would proceed to tell me. me. I, he was like, he was like, you know what? I don't know what it is. you know, something special about you that are, you know, I just,

Track 1:

Yeah.

djanai qaik ep:

I said, this is my stop. It wasn't. I was like, this is my stop.

Track 1:

Gotta go call me when you want to be honest. All right.

djanai qaik ep:

split is all the way, like the second to last stop on the two train, I got off a tree. I said, goodbye. I was like, yeah, this is it, bro. All right. Goodnight blocked his number. Never spoke to him again. And I was 19. So

Track 1:

right, right. And this is where the naive ness I feel like is coming in because typically. If a man's going to tell you, he loves you on the second day, that either means he's broke or homeless, and he's trying to move in. I don't make the rules. I don't make the rules. This is what I have seen and witnessed men who are so quick to be like, I love you. I want to be with you. Yeah. Yeah. Not ever trying to leave your house. You've never seen his home. Something's not right in the water.

djanai qaik ep:

try to fuck his way onto your residence. He's trying to

Track 1:

Right. And put a baby in you and trap your ass for all of eternity. Yeah. She was in marketing. So she had, she was, in the article I read like sometimes she'd work like up to 70 hours per week. Like she was a workaholic. She was about her paper. She, and you'll see that she definitely had some money to hurt. So red flag number three. I mentioned earlier that she was more of a plain type of girl, you know, not too out there, but as they continue to date, he starts kind of pressuring her more to dress provocatively. So he wanted crop tops and acrylics, and he was like, you should get piercings here, here, and here. Like he was like, bitch, give me Pamela Anderson. You're giving me wet noodle. And she was like, Whoa, wait a minute. Like, how about you love me? Like,

djanai qaik ep:

Right. What happened to all of you? Loving me at the long John Silver's all of a sudden, now you want me to

Track 1:

Right, right. So kind of weird. and didn't make her feel great. But red flag number five. Girl, we about to get to six and six is the DMZ, red flag, number five. She started to suspect that he was spying on her computer activity by going through her browsing history, you know, trying to figure out what websites she's headed to. And again, Big red flag women. if you don't trust me and I'm not even cheating on you, you gonna push me to step the fuck out because I'm not even doing anything. And now I'm not, I don't need parental controls. I'm not eight years

djanai qaik ep:

Right, right.

Track 1:

Red flag number six. So Ian was really into like Kuchel. So he wanted to watch her have sex with another man. And she was like, not for it. Granted makes sense. This, this woman is very vanilla. You can't go from vanilla to freak. In a matter of months, like that's a lot,

djanai qaik ep:

Wait, hold on. Is, does the other man have his own place? Because we can just, I can just do that. Like, does he have his own residence?

Track 1:

well, you'll see one Valentine's day. she had been feeling like not great during the day. So she took some like daytime medicine and then around nighttime, she took some cold medicine and somehow they start drinking. And she becomes a little more loosey goosey. Her inhibitions are down and he's still pushing her. Like, I really want to do this. I really want to do this. Like, let's do it tonight. And she ends up saying yes. And so a random man, a stranger comes into her place and she believes that Ian had been booked this guy from Craigslist emphasis. Right. And he ended up filming her, having sex shoo sexual relations with this other.

djanai qaik ep:

Uh,

Track 1:

So,

djanai qaik ep:

wait, hold on. Is this assault or this is consensual.

Track 1:

she, she consented, she did consent, but granted she was off of cold medicine and like what you're supposed to do. Yeah. You're never supposed to mix that.

djanai qaik ep:

Just put a fucking jolly rancher in it. That's lean. So,

Track 1:

They're right there. And so she was technically a consenting adult, but she woke up the next morning and she felt busted and disgusted. She was like, this is not me. I didn't want to really do that. And I did it and she's talking to him the next morning and she's begging him, Hey, listen, I don't want that video to get out. I don't feel comfortable with you having it. Please destroy it. And he looks at her and he's like, no one forced you to do that. Like you did it on your own free will. You're grown. So I'm not destroying it

djanai qaik ep:

Uh, okay. So yeah, I did do it on my own free will, but I didn't ask you to film it and. I did not give you permission to film it. So while he did have consent to peel my muffin cap, black blue, I did not give you consent film me, get my, my back blown out. Thanks.

Track 1:

at all, but somehow these two would work through this. And although she did feel in her gut that something just wasn't right with their relationship, she felt that she loved him. And at this point they had a very intense connection and he had a lot of. I don't want to say control, but they were like magnets sticking together. Like she was like, I, I was in love with him. I knew he loved me. I wanted to be with him. And so in December of 2014 he proposed and she would say, yes, So regardless of the red flags that have been clearly shown to us by the summer of 2015, Michelle and Ian decided that they wanna move in together, we're engaged. The next step is getting a beautiful two-story condo in downtown Anaheim. So what's interesting about this is that Michelle ended up. Paying$14,440 for the down payment on this new condo upfront and his ass put down,

djanai qaik ep:

Oh, I thought you, I thought you were going to say at least, you know, a couple thousand, but zero,

Track 1:

team.

djanai qaik ep:

down.

Track 1:

Right, right. And I put down 14 K by yourself as a single woman or previously single woman hefty penny. So I'm sure that not wiped out her savings, but it shows that she was making very good money. And could afford to do that, but where she messed up was they ended up taking out the mortgage together. So they were both on the name of the house, which not in this lifetime baby. And you're not contributing to the down payment. Absolutely not, but they took it out together. So they moved in and very quickly after they moved in, it was murder. She wrote, she described that Ian became even. More paranoid than ever. He was emotionally and mentally abusing her as well as like threatening physical violence. And he would go on these angry rants for hours and hours just yelling at her. And she finally said, you know what? This isn't healthy. This is not what I want. And by the end of that summer of literally less than two months after moving in, their relationship was finished, the engagement was off. He ended up taking back her engagement ring. He was like, you're cheating on me. She was like, no bids. Like you're crazy. And I can't live here anymore. And so she packed up her shit and she bounced, she moved out of the home that she put 14 grand down on.

djanai qaik ep:

brought it up before I did that. I'm not letting you be in the house that I fucking put all my goddamn money into and you're just going to be in there being crazy throwing dishes at the wall.

Track 1:

absolutely not. Absolutely not. So although he remained in the condo and she did not, again, better than me, he still was like, well, you still need to come with your half of the mortgage because, you know, we went in on this together

djanai qaik ep:

So it is crack.

Track 1:

It is like, okay. So at this point there was a year long battle over this condo and their financial agreements, and it was becoming increasingly hostile. So after a year and I'm going back and forth, cause she's like, I don't feel like I should be paying him. Like you're living there. I'm not even living there. And at this point we need to get lawyers involved, like property lawyers to figure out what we're going to do. And so during this time of them still going back and forth, Michelle had a little bit of a, Bernadine moment from waiting to exhale. She didn't burn his shit, but she blacked out and she sent him an email that read him for filth, which would later come back to bite Michelle and her ass. So the date is September 10th, 2015. She emails him. You're in your body, but your mind is somewhere else. Your sins are many including defiling, me and my family and your wicked and evil sexual acts, your financial coercion and irresponsibility, your gluttony. You're greed, your lust, your Slav, your wrath, your envy, and most of all, your pride. And I will bring the full force of the law and the word of God against you to judge you. So fire and brimstone the Bible.

djanai qaik ep:

right, right. I mean that's way nicer. That's like the Disney version of what the fuck I would have wrote, but

Track 1:

Okay. Exactly. So Michelle also began to grow increasingly scared of his erratic behavior. She believed that he had placed a tracking device on her car. And what follow her, if she, you know, even changed directions from like her usual route. And at this point she was in night school to get her MBA at Chapman university. And she believed that she had spotted his SUV on campus numerous times, just like sitting in the parking lot. So she did the right thing and she goes to the canvas police and she reports her concerns and they're like, We're not tolerating that shit. They ended up actually banning him from campus. So like, if we see this SUV, if we see him, like we're calling the authorities, he's not allowed on this campus. So as I had said, they hired property lawyers. at this point it's the end of 2015, because again, they were getting nowhere and their agreement with the property lawyers was that this okay. By June of 2016, we're at the end of 2015. So in about six months in, would take over the full payments for the condo. And if he could not afford it, they would mutually agree to sell. She wasn't in the condo anymore. He really wants to say, that's fine. you taking over the payments, the mortgage, and both of our names. If you cannot afford it anymore, it's out. So during this time, unbenounced to Michelle and a snitching ass bitch, because he had actually taken that strongly. Okay. And how to report it to the Anaheim police department. As well as him being banned from the university to the Anaheim police department. And he requested a restraining order against Michelle and claim that he was worried about. Michelle's, you know, emotional temperance as well as her history of rage and violence. And she's just on hinged and. Although the judge would dismiss this. The Anaheim police now had her in her radar. Again, he's a us Marshall he's dealing with police. There's that blue code of like, we got you, man. Like, she's just a crazy bitch, bro. Like she's just, you know, angry that you moved on. And moved on is what he did because by the start of January, 2016, Ian was back on dating websites and he ended up meeting a woman by the name of Angela Connell. And within a month, Angela had moved into the condo and they were mayor

djanai qaik ep:

look, I'm not surprised because he probably did the same shit. I love you. Within five minutes. Meet the parents on the second date now you're in my fucking house. That's it.

Track 1:

right. So, Michelle, in the meantime, I was trying to move on. And she ended up getting an apartment near her campus and she was like, I'm putting this toxic relationship behind me. All I have to do is get to the summer and he probably will. You won't be able to afford the payment, so we're going to sell. And then I'm really about to be done with his ass. And so Ian did actually tell Michelle that he had gotten married until she saw Angela's name listed on some paperwork for the mortgage on the condo. So he had added her to it. And she didn't really think anything of it, like prayers

djanai qaik ep:

no, we're not going to think anything of it.

Track 1:

well, that he's marrying, not necessarily that like it wasn't, there was paperwork sent to her and now that's his wife. So she would legally be on the paperwork, but she was just like, he moved on better for me. Maybe he won't stop me anymore. You know what I'm saying? So on June 6th, though, of 2016, she would see Angela's name again. And it shocked her because she learned that Angela had taken out a restraining order on Michelle, but Michelle and Angela at this point had never met, never come in contact with each other. So they had a court hearing scheduled about two weeks later, June 17th and Michelle realized that things had taken an even worse return because Angela would hand over pronounce of threatening emails that Michelle had supposedly sent to Angela.

djanai qaik ep:

Oh, okay.

Track 1:

Yeah. So Michelle knew something weird was going on because when she was like, these didn't come from me, like I didn't, I didn't do this. And two in may of that year, a little earlier. About two weeks before Angela had decided to file this restraining order, Michelle got an email from Google informing her that her Gmail address, that she hadn't never created, had now been shut down. And she was like, I have a Gmail, like I didn't create a new one and, you know, Google will send you and alert.

djanai qaik ep:

Google is on your ass. Like as soon as, you try to sign into your own shoes like this, you, so

Track 1:

Google will do that. And then later from Microsoft, she started to receive automated messages, alerting her that her primary email was now being used as the recovery contact for a handful of other outlook, email addresses. So she was like, What the hell is going on? Like I'm not needing these, obviously she's like logging cases. Like someone's trying to hack me. I don't know what's going on. I didn't create all these email addresses, but the emails that Angela would turn over to the authorities were. Pretty awful in graphics. So May 29th and the season receives an email that says, I hope you are scared to death tomorrow. Be prepared, don't sleep. We will still your child. And we will watch as it dies. You are a piece of shit. And I hope to God, you burn for what you have done us have to say at this point, Angela had also claimed that she was pregnant with twins by Ian. Which is why that child's mine is in there. So she's paying

djanai qaik ep:

uh, allegedly God, not going to give y'all y'all came and asked us no twins. I'm not going to give you the blessing of twins. I know that.

Track 1:

Okay, May 31st. You deserve nothing but a life of a lonely torture. I have ways to hurt you. There's no place you will be safe anymore. June 1st, you might be beautiful. You might be the one he married, but you are still a sinner and must be punished. I will make sure you are reminded of your place by force June 2nd. I know you are leaving work. I watch as you walk, let's play a game. Mind you. These emails have a few words or multiple words that were used in the email that Michelle had sent to Ian over a year ago. So very much looks as though she sent it. And remember, the police already had that email that he had sent to the police or show them like you see she's crazy, you know, and just like a Bible Thumper, just like out to set me on fire. So June 13th, someone posted a Craigslist ad seeking women, interested in a rape fantasies in orange County and a woman listed as Lilith Hadley said, if you are free tonight, come find me wrote Lilith and Lilith ended up listing Angela and Ian's address to the condo. And the final line said forced me into my house and take me down.

djanai qaik ep:

Oh, okay. Okay. So, Angela wrote the email. They, they made this Craigslist posts, right? And saying like, Oh yeah, it's a, it's a rape fantasy. I want you to break into this house and rape me and, and blah, blah, blah. And they're going to say, like she was re okay, go ahead.

Track 1:

Right. So I want to know that Michelle had received an email on June 21st after the court date. And after the date of this, posting on Craigslist from Craigslist, asking her to confirm like, Hey, uh, did you create an ad labeled gang rape fantasies? And she was like, what the fuck?

djanai qaik ep:

no, I did not.

Track 1:

No, I didn't. Right. So she immediately emails like. HR with Craigslist. It's called abuse@craigslist.org, which seems not legit, but that's what was listed. And she's reporting like, Hey, these are fake ads. This is not me, but she never heard back from Craigslist. So a week later, June 24th. Angela calls nine one one, and she is hysterical. And she says, a man has attacked me and tried to sexually assault me in the garage of her in Ian's condo. And when the police arrived, her neck is bruised. Her shirt is ripped. She's inconsolable. Obviously she's like, you know, I'm pregnant. Like this has just been a real shock to my system. So on and so forth. So at the time of the attack, Michelle had actually been on a date. Cause she unbeknownst to her, she thought, okay, weird restraining order. We're going to get that worked out. But I got like, I got to keep trucking in it. So when she would arrive home from her date, as soon as she stepped out of the car, the police were there and arrested her and Michelle would spend the night in jail. And luckily it was a 10 K bond to her parents bailed her out. And I want to note that while Michelle was in jail for that night, Angela received no emails, mind you, the dates I read for those other emails, where every single day, multiple times a day, multiple emails, but while Michelle's in jail and she didn't get no emails. So once the show was released, That emails to Angela would continue. And again, as I said, these emails resembled the biblical nature of the shells earlier ran from a year ago So during this time, uh, Michelle being out, uh, from jail, more ads were posted to Craigslist and inviting strangers to come to Ian and Angelo's home. Their address was listed all over these different, like rape and rape fantasy forums on

djanai qaik ep:

Why the fuck.

Track 1:

So about a month later, July 13th, Angela is an as a damsel in distress yet again, she called the police saying, Hey, there's this very weird teenager outside of our condo roaming around. I don't feel comfortable. And so by July 14th, Michelle would be arrested yet again because the police, Angela and them had shown the police, look at these Craigslist ads, look where they're saying, they're coming from, like, it's her, it's her, the police arrest her yet again. And then some, the police were like, we're not fucking around your bail is set at 1 million dog.

djanai qaik ep:

Whoa. A million doll hairs.

Track 1:

Dollars

djanai qaik ep:

shit. Not a side note. This is like, I know what's going on here and it's bad. My non-criminal brain would have never been able to doctor this up. I mean, this is like next level. It's a little smart. It's a little genius out. Y'all don't get no fucking ideas, but this is wow. Wow.

Track 1:

Okay. So bails out a million dollars. Obviously she comes from like a working class family. I believe her parents own a business, or they were like middle, upper middle class, but they ain't got no a million dollar bail money, even like whatever the cash bond would have been, which is what like 10, 20% of whatever.

djanai qaik ep:

Right. If, she called them for help, they would have been like, girl, make a friend because we ain't got it.

Track 1:

Right. Right. So her family unfortunately had to let Michelle know we are going to dedicate our money all to finding you the best lawyer ever. But you are going to have to sit in jail. And sit in jail. Michelle did, Michelle would spend the next three months in jail.

djanai qaik ep:

Oh my God, but waiting for trial, waiting for it. Come the fuck on that's really ridiculous first. Oh, okay. You know what?

Track 1:

right. So the orange County district attorney's office, you know, they said, listen, we have a public safety issue. We have a pregnant woman. who has been attacked once in our address keeps getting posted. We have Michelle, who seems to say, I'm not doing it, but all signs point to her as doing it. Um, and Angela is at risk of being harmed or killed. So we, you know, we did the right thing. We had to lock her up at this point in the investigation. Now the officers had done

djanai qaik ep:

Thank you. That's exactly what the fuck I was going to say.

Track 1:

They had done, they had gathered no additional cyber security evidence to determine that these emails were actually coming from shell. Anyone to take your first and last name and attach it to a Gmail and say, yeah, it came from her

djanai qaik ep:

right.

Track 1:

IP search will show up. What home, what computer, what time?

djanai qaik ep:

what room bitch? Like everything, because I never heard of cookies. Like you could have definitely figured that shit out. Follow the trail of crumbs. You will find Angela and her non-pregnant ass. I don't think she's pregnant, but that's just, that's fine.

Track 1:

right. Well, we'll get to that. So, Michelle. On paper, she's a goody two shoes. She has no criminal history. She's a workaholic again, she's a vanilla type of chick. So they were like, can, can she be released on house arrest? Can we get her in an ankle? She's not going to run, but she's not someone who needs to be in jail. Like this one, I don't even think had ever gotten a parking ticket, nothing. And the detectives didn't give a single fin up about that. They're like, no, she's staying in jail. So. I do want to note though, Michelle wasn't as naive as I thought she was researching before her first arrest on June 24th, Michelle had called the Anaheim police department four different times expressing concern that her ex India's was impersonating her online. Michelle took it a step further after she didn't hear about it from the Anaheim police department. And she even phoned the FBI and department of justice and says he. Is trying to scare me into giving him this condo is impersonating me and trying to make me freak out and wig out. Will someone please look into this and not a single person from either any departments that she called responded or followed up regarding her claim? Yeah, so eventually Michelle's parents were able to hire a good lawyer, but during this time Michelle's parents are getting busy. Let's go through the list. The evidence against Michelle is circumstantial at best and all signs point to Angela and Ian working together to frame this

djanai qaik ep:

Right. They're conspiring through our condo.

Track 1:

Right. Right. So Michelle's parents ended up investigating, Hey, there was surveillance cameras at the entrance of the Anaheim condo where Michelle's name is on the mortgage. And so was eons and there was no activity during the time. Angela said she was attacked the first time. No one was. Yeah.

djanai qaik ep:

on. Hold on, Hold on. Hold on. Pause. Wait a minute. Did they get a rape kit? Was there a rape kit done? Did they find any DNA?

Track 1:

I do not believe I did a rape kit because Angela claimed they did not succeed. She was fighting them off and they just ripped her shirt, attacked her. She was able to break free, which I I'm pretty sure in law and order, they still do one regardless, but.

djanai qaik ep:

don't, they just do some kind of inventory of like, what's on your body. There could be some DNA or like he could have cut his finger and it could be on your shirt. Something, something

Track 1:

Right, right.

djanai qaik ep:

they're not doing their fucking homework.

Track 1:

girl. So again, camera's show nothing. They ended up tracing back the IP addresses and. It showed that many of the emails that Angela had received was coming from inside of the house. They were from the condo.

djanai qaik ep:

as, Oh my God, duh,

Track 1:

No, another thing that helped Michelle emails that had been allegedly CIT from Michelle. Um, were at times when she had no access to her counts or her devices, at a couple of days, she was in class and back then, people weren't necessarily bringing laptops to class all the time. Usually you were taking notes on pen and paper, so she didn't even have access to check her email or send an email. At one point she was in the hospital, when an email was sent, so nothing, nothing was adding up. And I want to mention the four detectives who had been assigned at this case. It was Michael Cooney. Lily, Michael Lee and James pusy. Yep. P E w S Y or pussy,

djanai qaik ep:

Uh, yeah, no, all of them get D's F's really abs in, in, uh, police work because there was zero fucking homework done. They had this woman in jail for three months and you didn't even like,

Track 1:

days.

djanai qaik ep:

even check, even check. Oh, Oh, I would assume the paint off the fucking walls in a precinct. Are you kidding me?

Track 1:

Right. And so these detectives were so heavily focused on, well, these emails, these emails, the emails, fuck the emails. Either bring someone in to research how these emails were sent or keep it on the playground. And honestly, Nancy drew could have solved this case faster than these masses, which led people to question, you know, Well, Michelle had been questioning as well. Like he's a us Marshall again, they're police officers who knows that he's friends with these guys who knows if he's been talking to them and filling their head with like, yeah, man, like she's just crazy. She that's with me and I'm trying to move on everything. But because of this evidence presented by Michelle's and our lawyer, or lawyer, lawyer yours, sorry. And Michelle's parents being diligent and we're like, my babies are not going down for this. The prosecutors were swayed to drop the charges and drop the charges they did. But it wasn't just because of this evidence found because Ian with his snitch and ass was starting to sing like a Canary. Okay. The walls are closing in baby. So September 30th, 2016, he calls up the Anaheim police farm. It was like, I need to come in. I need to talk to you. And according to court records, Ian said, listen, my wife, she, she, yeah, she was framing Michelle. And I just found out and said, Angela, you know, told me that she was pregnant at the time of the first attack and that she ended up miscarrying because of just the trauma of the attack. And. He said, you know, come to find out that's not true at all because I told her to have an abortion. So he encouraged her to get rid of the baby because he didn't believe. That he was the father of the baby, regardless. So he was like, that was a lie that she told y'all. He also said that she got pregnant again and told him, you know, after the attack and after she miscarried that, Hey, I'm pregnant again. And he was like, I found out that she had bought sonogram photos online and she talked her to home pregnancy tests to fool me. And when I learned the truth, like I separated from her. And he also goes on to say that Angela fake checks, fake jobs, doctor's notes. She even faked cancer. So. After Ian threw her underneath anyone throw her underneath the bus baby. He blew that bus the Fuck. Uh, cause they maybe would've gotten away with it if he would have held strong. And he was like, fuck that I ain't this shit.

djanai qaik ep:

ship is sinking. I'm out. He's no, he saw a light bulb and he took it and honestly, it's not a bad plan. Yes, she is. And I'm wonder, did he ask her to get fucking piercings too? Like, what was, is this just part of his whole thing? Like, is this was all of this, his idea? Was it, was she just also a con person?

Track 1:

so after, and, you know, spills, his guts, Michelle. Was finally released while the investigators now focused all their attention on Angela and building a case against her. So even after they receive all this evidence of the confession from Ian, et cetera, it still took them three official months to officially exonerate Michelle publicly. And the district attorney's office after seeing the glaring mistakes, their detectives made begged Michelle, Hey, listen, please don't speak publicly about this, please. Don't speak publicly about, you know, your relationship with Ian. You know, it'll come out in time. We're working the case, you know, sorry for 88 days of your life

djanai qaik ep:

Uh, yeah, no, I'm, I'm about to call TMZ cross BS called the Hollywood reporter or whatever the fuck call everybody, because I got a story to tell and I'm telling on y'all monkey ass period.

Track 1:

Right. And at this point, this crime had made national news. It had been covered by people magazine, the Washington post, there was multiple stories in the daily beast. It eventually ended up on Dateline. And all these different publications started planting their own theories. Oh, this was just a twisted, hot love, triangle, gone wrong. They were all in it together. And you know, they, you know, Angela's just the fall guy, but they were all doing this and just like some wicked twisted threesome scheme. And so Michelle was like, I think the fuck not you. Trick ass bitch. Um, She came to the prosecutor and said, if y'all don't announce my innocence very soon, I'm going to go to the media and I'm going to tell them all the ways your department failed and how the law enforcement did not do their job. So finally on January six, 2017, Angela was finally arrested and Michelle was officially exonerated three days later, but they were still bitch made because the orange County district attorney office. Try to paint it as just like, you know, this took so long because we were doing extensive cyber crime investigator Berg and ultimately found the evidence, which is bullshit because Shell's parents found that evidence and freed.

djanai qaik ep:

right. You really do have to be your own advocate because these people drop the ball so many times they had ample opportunity to just dot their I's and cross their T's do your fucking homework. It's that simple? What the school B do could have fucking solved this.

Track 1:

Okay. And so the kicker was the district attorney's office, openly, openly referred to. The women by their names, you know, who wasn't listed though in any documents in D because they said the evidence we currently have is not show any involvement by John DOE. John DOE, you don't get a John DOE. If you're not the victim, maybe that's not how any of this works.

djanai qaik ep:

This man could, may have conspired with his wife to put, to imprison this woman and take ownership fully of the home that she bought. He is not a John DOE.

Track 1:

So ultimately October 17th of 2017, Angela would plead guilty to 10 felony charges, including false imprisonment and prison and perjury. And. Angela struck a deal with prosecutors and was given five years in prison. And she is now serving time at the McFarland female community re-entry facility in central California. But unfortunately, since her exoneration Michelle's, things have been, you know, touch and go. She was able. To obtain her MBA. and she found a good job in her field. She's marketing, she's doing marketing for a beauty company and she moved to New York and she's living with her sister to get the hell out of California and escape her name, which had now become infamous. but she did struggle for a while to find a job because it was either I come out and say I was falsely in prison, but it's still on my record or. You know, that's just an awkward conversation to have. Uh, but although on the surface, her life seems okay. She's still dealing with a lot of trauma in her life. So because of the crimes brought against her, technically she would be registered. When she was in prison and she was in like the sex offender unit. So she was in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day. And when, just

djanai qaik ep:

Oh my God.

Track 1:

And you know, she had PTSD from prison. She tried to start dating, but she was like, I don't trust anyone at this point. I don't, I don't even know How I can trust anyone and she still has mountains and mountains of debt. Uh, and it's largely dead as a result of unpaid bills that just stacked up while she was incarcerated.

djanai qaik ep:

the police department for, okay. Got it. Okay,

Track 1:

And lastly, before I get to currently today, and, uh, with his stanky ass ended up selling their Anaheim condo,

djanai qaik ep:

how y'all sell some shit you ain't even put no put bugging money down on.

Track 1:

right. He sold it for four 99, um, and they bought it for four 70 and she ended up seeing none of that money.

djanai qaik ep:

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, you have zero equity in this bucket. You better tell me something different at the end of the story, Christian. Cause I swear to God.

Track 1:

So currently Michelle is more than likely going to get paid. She has a federal lawsuit. Which I believe in December of 2019, which is a nearly 80 page civil rights lawsuit, um, which is an amended version from an original complaint. She had filed with the California state court in 2017 and alleges that her ex fiance, E N D S. The deputy us Marshall was so hell bent on punishing her after their relationship dissolves that he plotted to frame her for stalking and threatening. His new wife had Michelle believes that arresting that in arresting her. The Anaheim police ignored eons masterminding to protect their fellow woman becoming a weapon in his torturous campaign. So lawsuit is still out there. I hope my good sister gets

djanai qaik ep:

Absolutely. Fucking penny

Track 1:

Okay. And rares down for

djanai qaik ep:

He needs to be in jail.

Track 1:

you know, he was behind this DNA, you know, he was behind this,

djanai qaik ep:

He needs to be in, I'm shocked that he's not in fucking jail right now.

Track 1:

they saved his ass, they saved his ass.

djanai qaik ep:

what, you know what for sin, this is going to happen again. He's this is something that he's done before. He's going to do it again, because this is a sickness with these people, a con artists. It's not even like he can make as much money as, as whatever. I mean, we talked about this last week with, um, Sharon Murphy. Is it Sharon? Is that her name? I've completely forgotten. Um, pneumonia, Murphy. That's right. yeah, like these people, it doesn't matter how much money they have. They always want more. I think it's not even about that. It's about the art of the con. They just want to trick people out of shit. You're like a weird ass narcissist. Just super manipulative and yeah. So I think if he's not in jail now, he'll, he'll be in jail

Track 1:

for sure, for sure. And I wonder how many other women went on first dates with him and were like creep weird. Not do it. Can't do it. Cause he's not, he's not that cute. And his hair is uneven. He looks dusty. This is literally lifetime movie network. Like it maybe has already been a story. That's probably where they got the idea from was a lifetime movie to do this shit on Michelle.

djanai qaik ep:

It has, because this is, this is some next shit. I wouldn't have ever thought of this. Who thinks do some shit like this? This is crazy. It was so orchestrated, there was so many moving parts, but you're stupid. Like. You're so stupid to think, like you never heard about IP address, you dumb bunny. Oh my God. But I'm really upset with the police for not just so much as like lift the rug up a little bit.

Track 1:

right. And supposedly in the, in the Buzzfeed article, I read the police reclaiming. Like it was so hard to initially see that the emails were coming from Angela and Anne's condom because she was using VPNs. But then another cyber expert was like, I mean, a little hard, but. Not impossible. Like can definitely still be done if you peel the curtain back and keep going, but don't just stop. Cause you get to a VP in and are like, Oh, well I guess it's face value. Yeah, she was doing it like, nah.

djanai qaik ep:

Wow, these cops need their fucking asses beat, and honestly, Sue them. Those cops needed to be demoted or be in trouble or something because you really had a woman locked up in solitary confinement for 90 fucking days, 88. Nine, whatever for three months over some shit she did not do.

Track 1:

and it was really, it was really sweet. And the article, eventually she did get a cellmate, which was an older woman who was in there for like, I think some type of kidnapping charges or something. And when Michelle got out. I don't think she did it though, but regardless really close to this older woman. And when she got out, um, her and her family, I believe worked with an organization and, or help raise the money themselves to actually get her good legal representation that wasn't afforded by the court because, you know, sometimes then, then court appointed attorneys just be

djanai qaik ep:

damn. Yeah,

Track 1:

plate. Know what I'm saying? Um, it seems as though Michelle was a really. Sweet girl, and a nice girl who unfortunately just got tangled in some messy shit, but that is a story of Michelle had Leanne and Angela Diaz slash Connel.

djanai qaik ep:

Wow. Wow. Great job, Kristen. that story had a little bit of everything. Scammy scam, scam. I guess we could do something a little different this week. No, no deaths.

Track 1:

Yeah. Yeah, thank God because she maybe was like a week away from probably

djanai qaik ep:

right.

Track 1:

being dead to the bed.

djanai qaik ep:

I mean, the lack of police work is really, it is, it is concerning. It is really concerning that they can just do whatever or not do

Track 1:

Not do whatever. And how many people do you think are sitting in jail right now?

djanai qaik ep:

somebody just didn't didn't just do one Google, Google search, just one little thing, riding away in prison because people aren't doing their fucking jobs.

Track 1:

Or awaiting trial. Right,

djanai qaik ep:

that is nuts. Oh my God. And if anybody needs to do their job, it's fucking them. Wow. Yeah, I was. You got, yeah, you got to everything that I was going to say. Um, but yeah, though, they need to, they, those cops need some kind of punishment and Ian, he needs to be in jail too. I'm really surprised that he wasn't because this woman, she really didn't have a Mo like he had plenty of motive, all, all of the motive. I don't understand why he wasn't looked into and like taken seriously and put in jail too, but

Track 1:

I wish you would have filed. A restraining order against him first, like going and campus police is one thing, but he got her when he went to them, like, um, just support to help, you know, defenseless man. And in more of my research, I was like, you know, when women are accused of being deranged nine times out of 10, you're going to believe the man, regardless if she's screaming, like, no, he's crazy. He's done this. He's done that. They love a good FIM for towel story. And it's sensationalized. And the media loves that shit too, but it was, yeah, it was done. So once he got that restraining order or once Angela officially got the restraining order

djanai qaik ep:

Honestly, I'd have some Daniel advice for y'all for, um, every like new person that you may meet and start dating. Um, just take out a restraining order on them, just like, yeah. Yeah, I think we, you should just take out a restraint just for safekeeping, just for like good measure, you know, really like if you meet somebody on hand and they want to take you out for, uh, you know, brunch or, or a date or something like that, just find out like, what's your last name? And just go to the police,

Track 1:

Quickly. Hey, Oh, we just went on our first date. He's totally fine. I just want to get a restraining order just real quick.

djanai qaik ep:

Yeah, just to me. I don't like anybody getting too close to me anyway. Um, yeah. So if you guys can just thanks. Yeah.

Track 1:

Right? Right. I love it. When my man tells me I can't go nowhere because I'm just too fine. What in what world?

djanai qaik ep:

I can't with the insecure. I don't want that anybody I'm with. Like, if anything, you need to be proud that I'm on your arm. You're lucky I'm here.

Track 1:

don't men out here do not go for a bad bit. If you cannot handle a bad bitch, cause she's not about to switch it all up, just because she's necessarily with you. You met her looking one way and now you want her to change her whole personality to fit your weird Suzy homemaker narrative. No.

djanai qaik ep:

Right. She was butt naked with a beeper on when y'all met. Now you want her to be dressed up like a Pilgrim? Is it Wiley or is it one mic, but
