dj story_kristen:

And welcome back to another episode of quite as it's K.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

we go and just start this shit. Like we weren't gone for eight years.

dj story_kristen:

I know. And I had, I had some people not very happy with us.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Oh, for real.

dj story_kristen:

Because they were expecting episodes. Yes. I'm going to text you about that.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Oh, I'm glad you

dj story_kristen:

out. were, they were joking. They were joking, but they were like, but there better be one this week, I might, Oh my God. Like, why are you so obsessed with me?

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Um, no, I'm glad nobody pressed me. I did not feel like being panini press. We were gone for like, I want to say it's probably like a month or three weeks or whatever, but honestly it was needed. I was like what Pat podcasts, So we're back and everything, but we're going to be putting out episodes every week, blah, blah, blah. But that, that break was kinda needed. I'm not apologizing for it. I'm not sorry I needed that shit,

dj story_kristen:

No, no, no, no. I needed a sabbatical. Um, I hadn't taken much PTO this year at all, but yeah, we will never apologize for taking a mental health break, but really love that you guys are enjoying it so much that you missed us.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

process. So, I mean, press Kristen don't press me cause she's nice. Um, um, no, it was, it was really much needed. I needed to close the computer. And get one with nature. I was up there in the mountains and the cabins in a hot tub living my best life.

dj story_kristen:

Amen.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

So, um, it was great. Christmas was great. Saw my family, um, went back to New York. I was all over honey. I was just setting, um, it was nice. What'd you want to tell us about your adventures?

dj story_kristen:

yes. I went to Colorado to visit my sister and my nephew and my brother-in-law and my whole family. Was able to come well, just my immediate family, because we're not crazy. Um, but it was really nice. We were out there for two weeks and it was my first time in Colorado and it was really, really gorgeous and beautiful. Um, uh, lots of guidelines were in place for COVID. So like a lot of stuff just wasn't open or simply like shut down early. Um, and like in one town. They had to stop serving alcohol by like 7:00 PM. They were like, we're not playing games with y'all.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Prohibition rules.

dj story_kristen:

they were like, get y'all's asses home. Um, we, we do not want your business for new year's everyone's dying. So stay home. Um, which was like, I would rather businesses take that precaution then just like have a free for all up in, up in the bars. But yeah, it was really nice. Uh, stayed. Close-knit indoors, safe, social distance. So it was good.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

That's good. I'm glad that it sounds, it sounded like when you were telling me it was going to be beautiful, wonderful Christmas time in Colorado.

dj story_kristen:

Right, right.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

yeah, I mean the last time we spoke a lot has transpired. Cause that was like, I was at the end of December, a lot of transpired. Uh, we were slightly disappointed on the 21st when our powers did not activate. Um, I know personally, I know that I'm a grown ass woman, but I was kind of like, maybe like,

dj story_kristen:

like stranger things have happened, so I'll never say never. Okay.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

exactly. Exactly.

dj story_kristen:

But that would have been fun. And just like, like literally I pictured myself opening my eyes at midnight and then just like starting to levitate, like out of my bed. Like that is what I wanted. That's what I dreamed for. Didn't happen, but it was a glorious day on Twitter.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

it really, it was up there with, wait, hold on. It was better than nigga Navy. It

dj story_kristen:

it was, it was,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

it was, that was tough. And now we have a new holiday. Every December 21st we launched, maybe this time is going to work. I know that I realized I realized something about myself. To having conversations about like, what kind of powers would I want and everything that I wanted to do just involve me stealing. So I was just like, I wanted super speed. I didn't want no super strength, nothing. I was like, I'm to be so fast, I'm a slow down time. I'm gonna do whatever I want. Um, I'm going to sneak on the people's planes and sneak into the vault and all types of jobs. It's like, Oh, I'm gonna just zoom through everything. And I'm going to see me coming or leaving goodbye.

dj story_kristen:

Tell I'm. Yeah. I want to tell a rotation with, um, like an invisibility, but, and I could put it on my suit for like, I could teleport into a bank vault,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

So you want it to be, you want it to be

dj story_kristen:

Yeah. Like, yeah, yeah. Either that I've always wanted to fly, but I also think, um,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

of that.

dj story_kristen:

Laser beams. Cool. But I think that just because I watched the boys recently and home Lander can shoot laser beams out of his eyes and I've all I was like, that's actually kind of tight. Um, but it like, doesn't really, I mean it, and, and like my top five powers I want, I just think it'd be cool as like a bonus fee.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

That is very telling what you choose because the ones that I was interested in had nothing to do with me hurting anybody else. It was just like my person. It was a personal thing. I just wanted

dj story_kristen:

really. I want to be a villain, right?

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

I wanted to, uh, sneak and steal. I just wanted to clean out like a whole bank or whatever in like two seconds. And they're like, Oh my God, where'd all the money. And the Juul go. And I'm like, I'm all the way across town, you know? On a plane somewhere. So that's all I wanted. Definitely didn't want to like crush anybody or whatever, but maybe next year, I don't know. Maybe she just got the dates wrong.

dj story_kristen:

Maybe, I think she deactivated her Twitter that so, no, she made it private that day. Cause she was getting low,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Girl, come back

dj story_kristen:

a Christmas tree. I know we need you girl. We miss you.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

part of the culture. That was great. I love

dj story_kristen:

We miss you.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Yeah. Um, Well, since it's been about three weeks and we still don't have any sponsors, nothing's changed on that front. So, um, this week the podcast is brought to you by hi, y'all, um, this week's episode is brought to you. I'm trying to think of something clever.

dj story_kristen:

listen, boots.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

What's in soups, maybe. Um, all right. This week episode is brought to you by rest in peace to Azalea banks, cat, who then became sun cultural, look, Azalea banks went on Twitter and posted a video. of herself apparently digging up her deceased cat and then y'all boiling it in a pot and it looked like she had, I don't know. I don't know. She was just attempting to eat it. Kristen said maybe there was a chance. You said she was doing it for good luck.

dj story_kristen:

Maybe like, just like maybe not to ingest, but just to like have the fumes, fumigate, the house and like cleanse or something. I don't know. Yeah.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

a thousand years dungeon jail. It's not even enough. Um, hell hell fire dishonor dishonor on her dishonor on her vest. Dishonor on. Those chaps. She tried to where that time dishonor on her whole life and being, I am so done with her. Um, it was so disgusting cause I like, I look, I was busy today, so I went on Twitter and I saw Zoe banks is trending. Didn't even know what the fuck happened. I was like, you know what? She's always saying some dumb shit. I'm gonna just move on with my day. I choose peace today. And then. We're just like kind of chatting Kristen. And I just know, and she tells me why she was trending. So I just saw this and I'm disgusted.

dj story_kristen:

Okay.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

I'm sold through with this person. And I feel like then we need to put, put together a petition to have her, you know, locked up straight jacket. That's it. This is enough enough.

dj story_kristen:

And this is not her first time dabbling with animals. She also did a chicken sacrifice on her Instagram. I think it was alive, or she showed us like her chicken room where she does slaughter them. But I'm pretty sure she ended up flattering one. Yeah, it was a closet. I could like smell it from a mile away because chatting to actually has a chicken plant. And when you're heading down a chat and you like get to a certain exit, it hits you like a ton of like, you can smell it from the highway. So already know it was funky up in there already know it was

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

The animals alone, this particular cat, the cat's name is Lucifer,

dj story_kristen:

no comment.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

right. Um, she herself is the goat headed. Satan. She posted the video with a caption Lucifer, uh, 2009 to 2020, my dear Katie, thank you for everything. A legend, an icon forever as a servile serve the fuck is that, and then post this video of her, uh, churning, this cat like butter and it looked like tar. It looked crazy. And then I couldn't even finish watching the video because it was really disgusting, but, um, yeah, sick and shut-in is not enough. We need to straight jacket her up. I would love to see her in some buckles. Now mattresses on the walls, on the ceiling. Do we need to do, but get her some help.

dj story_kristen:

Yes. Shout out to Australia. Uh, this week's episode is brought to you by, uh, Nancy Pelosi's desk. Um,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Oh, right. The COO from last week. There's that?

dj story_kristen:

uh, okay. There's this picture circulating around of this man. With his whole boots kicked up on this woman's desk, reclining in her damn chair and then proceeds to steal her mail and broadcast it. Like, look what I got. I got this bitch. Um, first things first, fuck him. But second of all, I cried laughing at that picture cause I've never seen someone. So at ease while ruining their life. I mean,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

it up. I don't, I didn't see it.

dj story_kristen:

He was chilling, like big chilling path, no fear in this man's eyes whatsoever.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

This is a godless human being. He's really kicked back real. It looks like he's owning this room. Actually. I got to give it to

dj story_kristen:

Right, right, right. He ate her up in her own office. Um, But yeah, shout out to her desk. It brought a lot to say like how awful that situation was. Um, that was one very much a bright spot in my day while watching that, because I found it so hilarious. Oh my gosh.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Oh my God, this is crazy.

dj story_kristen:

Shout out to the COO.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

this past week has been so out of control. There've been sweets going around. I mean, I'm not going to say anything new, but I too am sick of living through so many historic moments. I'm tired. Okay. W w why is it so eventful? Can y'all sit down.

dj story_kristen:

right. At least make it like a one year in between the fuckery. This is just like every month. Something happens where I'm like, I

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Don't want to be a part of this history.

dj story_kristen:

know now

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Let's think, think about the textbooks. Let's give a little space between like, you know, major events that the textbooks are going to be a mile thick because so much shit is going on. But. Chill. Like, can we just all just mellow out, everybody take a sabbatical, everybody just do what we did, but for like a year, like everybody chill the fuck out. Maybe don't do anything for a minute. And, you know, eh, but everybody's doing too much. Yes.

dj story_kristen:

hopefully. Um, We'll just restart in February. January is gone. It's done February. Here we go.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

it's it? I mean, yeah. But that was all that shit. Like I was like, this shit is wild, but I'm watching it from the fucking hot. So I'm like, Oh damn, what the hell is going on? But we were in the middle of Trump country and we didn't see that many flags cause it was in Tennessee. And we didn't see that many Trump flags I saw less than we thought we were going to see in it's because why that's niggas was in DC, they was on

dj story_kristen:

Oh, they were deep. They rolled deep

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

But I will say this what annoyed me from last week really was. People bringing up the black lives matter movement and black people. When, uh, these, these people literally broke the law,

dj story_kristen:

federal waltz.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

laws and, and breached national security us Capitol.

dj story_kristen:

U S capital.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

And next is comparing this to people walking in the street with their hands up, talking about hands up. Don't shoot. I can't breathe. This is not the same thing. And so people are like, what if they were black? I'm like stop asking that question because they weren't let's focus on the fact that they were not, they were white and they broke the law to protest. Peacefully is not, it's not in breach of any laws at all. So why are black people in it? Leave us out of it. This is y'all shit. Ah,

dj story_kristen:

exactly. And those people, who were really protesting for black lives matter, um, already had to be maced and sent to jail and treated inhumanely, and they were literally just marching up the street. But y'all are out here, here, scaling walls,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Like fucking Spiderman.

dj story_kristen:

right? Stealing mail, ransacking rooms. And then when I get on CNN crying and talking about, I got caught up in the moment, no getting caught up in the milk is going to be walking down the street and saying, Oh, these bitches are in the Capitol. I want to go to you planning this out for months. And booking flights

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Okay. To the U S Capitol y'all congregate it. Matter of fact, I'm a little worried, cause somebody should have told you see how that type they had that shit locked up.

dj story_kristen:

on the secret apps with the F I don't even know what parlor is.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

parlor. My sister told me about it.

dj story_kristen:

I have no, I don't know what it is.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

you know, we need, we need to infiltrate. We need to be on that ship being fake too. We need to be on there. Like, yes. A white roll and black puck and does be on there and opposing as one, one of them, honestly, we need to be on our uncle ruckus and finding out what kind of, uh, intricate plots these things is coming up with because it could be anything they could do that to the U S Capitol. And it

dj story_kristen:

free free game bitch. They take the Pentagon next watch. Watch.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

I w I, I don't want to put it past them. I wouldn't put it past them. And you saw, nobody told nobody, Oh,

dj story_kristen:

nobody,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

We need to learn from the Tiki torch whites. Organization-wise I mean, look points were made.

dj story_kristen:

Sampson cops. Y'all

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

No prayers down for all you bitches, go to jail, go directly to jail. Do not pass. Go do not collect$200 go and don't collect no$600 either. Matter of fact, they caught yo ass. Have your cell phone

dj story_kristen:

You shouldn't get your stimulus?

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

STEMI for you? No. Still Turner for you.

dj story_kristen:

no.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Oh God. Um, Yeah, it was a very eventful start of the year. I can't believe this is real life. Um, but we're back and we have a story to tell,

dj story_kristen:

back.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

uh, this time is a special episode. since we were gone for so long, we're going to do two stories. Chris, going to tell a story and I'm going to tell a story. So stick around or I don't know, bitch, take a break. Um, listens to have today. Have tomorrow. It's your, it's your world. We just live in it. Um, all right. Rock paper says it goes first.

dj story_kristen:

I don't care.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Rock paper scissors say,

dj story_kristen:

Are we doing that? Oh, When do I, when I cheat on you or say when,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

I say I do rock paper scissors, say shoot. And you put it out then.

dj story_kristen:

say shoot and I'll to out on shoot. Okay. Okay.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Rock paper scissors. Say, shoot. Where's my hand. Where's your head? Jesus Christ. All right, one more time. Rock paper, scissors, shoot. Oh my God.

dj story_kristen:

Can you see my hands? Okay. Sorry. Come up. Here

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

All right. I guess I won. Okay. Well normally you go first anyway, so, um, switch it up 20, 21. Anyhow. Alrighty, hold on. Let me pull up my shit. Okay. So, in the spirit of new year's I started looking up isn't as that happened around new years. So that's what I have for you today. Right? Children gather around the campfire, listen to the campfire

dj story_kristen:

Gets your marshmallows.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

R C a N P F I R S O N G. Song. Um, so, follow me too.

dj story_kristen:

Sorry.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

What is that? This bitch snacking.

dj story_kristen:

Sorry. Okay.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Are you snacking?

dj story_kristen:

Okay.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

All right. So follow me to December 31st, 2019. It's new year's Eve and we are in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and it's 5:30 PM and 29 year old John Mitchell Momo. Is home with his two daughters. Um, one is three years old. The other is one years old. So he's been left alone for daddy daughter time. Um, his long-time girlfriend and the mother of his children, Monique boss. She had left a few hours earlier for work. You see, she's a real estate agent. And someone had asked her to show them a home in a nearby suburb. That's about like 20, 30 minutes away. So, um, that appointment was at three. So, you know, around five 30, you know, it's been an time John hears Monique's keys in the front door. Um, and at the time their three-year-old is sitting on the couch, the baby's upstairs and John is on the staircase when the door opens and a mass person enters the residence, pulls out a gun and opens fire on John. Yes. So he shot in the groin. In the shoulder and just below the heart. And as he's being shot at, he attempts to run upstairs and he's heard shouting I'm dead already. My babies are here. So just as quickly as the shooter enters the home, the shooter flees the home. And John thankfully still alive is able to get to the phone to call nine 11. When police arrived, they find John covered in blood. I mean, obviously he's been shot like four times. Um, and he's surrounded by his two children who had miraculously been completely unharmed during the shooting. So it's about an so, um, it's about an hour later and responders have gotten to John, they're trying to, you know, the guns at the hospital and the police are there trying to figure out like what the fuck just happened. And they get a notification about another shooting in the area, using their ShotSpotter system. Have you ever heard of this? Okay. So a ShotSpotter system is a gunshot detection system. It looks kind of like a tower, like a cell phone, not really like a cell phone tower, but it looks like a tower and it uses acoustic sensing technology to approximate gunshots, like a here's the gunshots. And it sends alerts to the police so they can get to the scene right away.

dj story_kristen:

W do like major cities a lot of times have this, or is it

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Um, I'm going to say yes, cause I looked it up. They have like a whole website and stuff. So they work with the police. Um, I don't know. I feel like probably in major cities, um, and I guess Minneapolis being one of them.

dj story_kristen:

Right.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Three gunshots are detected using the shots spotter system near Russell Avenue North, which is about three, four miles away from where John was shot at in his home. So officers investigate the area and they find a woman laying in an alley. Her hands are bound with tape and she's been shot twice in the torso.

dj story_kristen:

Oh,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Once in the face at close range.

dj story_kristen:

That's. Yeah, I was about to say that's up close and personal.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

yes. Um, so she's very badly wounded and rushed to North Memorial medical center. Unfortunately, the woman is pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital that evening on the 31st. And so later police would confirm. The identity of the deceased woman as 28 year old Monique BARR, so, John and Monique bull shot, unfortunately Monique has passed. So John. Her boyfriend, he wakes up from surgery and he's told that his girlfriend, the mother of their two young daughters, a woman who he's known since they were teenagers,

dj story_kristen:

Ooh,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

and 17 years old, it's gone. Now I will show you pictures. Monique was absolutely breathtaking. This woman's beautiful. Gorgeous. Really could have been a model, beautiful young mother of two adorable little girls. And, you know, from all accounts, she was very ambitious. She was just starting to thrive in her new career as a real estate agent. And so this really shook up the community because people are like, well, why, why, why, why

dj story_kristen:

Right.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Then about two days after the shooting around midnight, a 41 year old man named Cedric Berry. Was arrested by Minnesota police for his connection, with the shootings. So when the police arrest him, they find a black mask. So when he entered the home, it was noted that he had a book, you know, to wherever the assailant was, had a black mask on. And he's also found with 13 bags of drugs, suspected heroin inside his car.

dj story_kristen:

13.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

So, I mean, either he was going to have like a wild night or he was selling drugs.

dj story_kristen:

Yeah, he's a, he's a meal baby. A lot of heroin.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

not, it's more than enough. It's it's more than enough. I don't, I don't do drugs, but I'm pretty sure that's more than of heroin. Um, I say I won't do drugs. Um,

dj story_kristen:

Oh, my gosh.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

I don't want to say that. So anyway, when asked about this man in connection to the shootings, so he attacks, John says I've never seen that dude in my life. He just came out of nowhere. So it would take the police weeks to unravel this. As you will learn extremely intricate plot and learn how and why this young woman Monique bought would be taken from her daughters, from her partner and from her friends and family seemingly without reason.

dj story_kristen:

Right.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Okay. So the story really begins on December 29th, 2019. Two days prior. So Monique Barra, she gets a voicemail from an unknown phone number. Um, it's from a woman named Lisa Polaski. Say that eight times fast, who Palasky Mike was asking, who requests a showing for a home in a nearby suburbs. So the caller says that she wanted the showing. She says maybe tomorrow morning. So that would have been on the 30th. So Monique gets a few more calls from the number, but she finds that a little bit odd because she just didn't know how this person would have gotten her, her number. Um, Because she's employed by a local real estate agency, but this potential buyer doesn't go through her employer. They go directly to Monique. They reach out to her directly on her personal. Um, but it's a little weird, but there's a possibility that maybe like somebody who's like a previous buyer, someone who she worked with before referred her.

dj story_kristen:

her

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Exactly. Exactly. So, um, she doesn't really think that much of it. Uh, she thinks that the repeated, like reaching out is weird, but you know, this kind of stuff happens. So she sets up a viewing for December 30th, the following day, um, at a, at a home. And, uh, on this day she has a co agent with her. They're waiting for Lisa to show up, but she doesn't show up. Um, she gets a text message from her about like, what kind of stove is in the house, gas or electric girl. What, so. Uh, but she just does not show up. Um, so they were just rescheduled for the next day. No big deal. So now it's December 31st, 2000 ninth month. And Monique is scheduled to meet Lisa at 3:00 PM and show her a home for sale in maple Grove, Minnesota. So just for context, this is about 20, 30 minutes outside of Minneapolis. This is yeah. So it's, it's a suburban area, uh, in Hennepin County. Um, lots of big homes, great schools, you know, cause they nice neighborhood, you know, where the mass, majority of the people own versus rent their homes. So, you know, they got money and I did my research and an average like three, four bedroom in this area could easily go for 400, 500 K, which is a nice little commission. So it does not surprise me that Babich Monique and up and coming real estate agent. Jumps at this opportunity in true Tony Charles Realty fashion, even on new year's Eve. Cause just like, you know what, I'm about my money. I got, I got, I need cheese for my egg. I got two of them. So,

dj story_kristen:

commission. You're right.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

So I mean, whatever. So it's around 3:00 PM. Monique pulls up skirt, skirt, and her black BMW parks outside the property. Goes inside to wait for the potential buyers to arrive. Okay. Um, now I'm not sure if she initially saw the vehicle that arrived a few minutes after she got there. Um, but according to footage from a neighbor surveillance camera shortly after Monique enters the home about 10, 15 minutes after that, uh, you haul truck pulls up in front of the house now. I'm not a real estate agent, but even I know that you can't just move right in.

dj story_kristen:

Right. No,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

No,

dj story_kristen:

I'm not how any of this works.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

As much as you like the house, um, I mean, I'm pretty sure if Monique saw the truck pull up, she probably would have been like, Hey, maybe, um, Perhaps, this is your first rodeo. Maybe you don't know much about the process, but, uh, number one, you haven't even seen the house yet. Um, and while you may be ready to buy there, still some paperwork to fill out there's, you know, nobody even mentioned the word mortgage, like I'm alone. Like you can't just bring your shit in here. So if she saw it, I'm not sure if she did, but if she did see it, I'm pretty sure she would've been confused as would anyone.

dj story_kristen:

Yeah.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

So there's not a lot of details on what exactly happens next. But what we do know is that it was at this point that a man exits the truck enters the maple Grove property. And while inside he bound Monique's hands with tape and forces her into the cargo part of the U-Haul truck against her will. So loads her into the back of the truck, and the man follows her into the back of the truck and the surveillance camera sees the truck just drive away leaving Monique's BMW behind. So that tells me two things that tells me. Somebody else was driving the car. Since you're in the back with her, the guy who bounds you like one person in the back, and then somebody else is driving. At least one other person is in the, in the front. Um, and then also that they left the BMW behind. So to me, it's like, if you want it to Rob her, just the bitch, give me the keys and you take off. Like, it just doesn't seem like it's

dj story_kristen:

Right?

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Like it's, it doesn't seem like it's, it's, um, being driven by wanting to Rob her.

dj story_kristen:

No. Cause you would have taken the car if it was, if it was. Yeah. So no one, there were no witnesses that saw

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

No,

dj story_kristen:

her being put in the U hall or

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

no. It was only surveillance footage that caught it. So now there is about a two hour window that no one can really account for. Between Monique being kidnapped and John being shot at, in their home. But the next time the truck is caught on CCTV. It is near John and Monique's family home. So it's the same truck. And of course it's Monique's keys that are used to enter the home. So they obviously got her keys from her in order to enter the home. So let's talk about John for a minute. So at the top of the story, John is home with his ammonia's daughters and I'm calling him John, but to people who know him or know of him, they know that he goes by his last name, Momo. Um, that's also his stage name, uh, seat John AKA Momo is an up and coming rapper. You all know how Kristen feels about rappers. So, um, I've never heard of him before I started researching the story, but, uh,

dj story_kristen:

I can tell you. I have not as well, your honor.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

M O M O H, if you would like to look it up, um, But yes. So I never heard of him, but apparently, you know, he's not, not known. I went to his Instagram, I saw pictures of him with like 50 cent. And also he did do a song with Nipsey hussle before he died. So, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um, so as police investigate the crimes that took place on the 31st, the media is trying to connect the dots as well. And some even suggested that Momo was in a gang. Or they suggest that he was maybe like in a gang or that he was a drug dealer and some beef related to any of that activity could have been what provoked these attacks. But ultimately there was no proof of any of that. So that theory

dj story_kristen:

Of course, they would jump to that

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

of course, of course they would. Um,

dj story_kristen:

Seven weeks,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Yes, but of course that in that theory was thrown out because there was no proof of it, but they kind of did stick with it for a very long time. Of course I still didn't stop people in the community and on social media, especially from speculating and accusing him of some involvement in his girlfriend's death, um, he had also recently signed a record deal. And uh, video started circulating around the internet around that time. And in the video, Momo was seen with a bunch of hundred dollar bills in the dryer. So he got the dryer on tumble and he's like, I'm gonna show you how to clean this dirty money, that out, whatever. And so people are saying that by flaunting his cash and falling his success, he essentially put a target on their backs. And this is a lot like, this is a lot because. He's still recovering from his own like physical gunshot wounds, mourning the death of his girlfriend at the same time, trying to take care of his children, part of a police investigation. So this is really a lot. And so he felt the need to address the press. And so maybe like a week or two after, um, after the incidents Momo. Uh, tell us the star Tribune that he was not affiliated with any gangs or drug dealing at all. He says he does not have a gang background, you know, but he suspects that the attacks could have been due to some jealousy, um, could have been due to some music industry type of like infighting.

dj story_kristen:

yeah,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

But he couldn't really say more than that. Right because it's an open investigation. You couldn't really say more than that. Um, but he says that he's working with the police to, to bring, you know, of course

dj story_kristen:

Justice Harmoni. Yeah.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

So. in the coming weeks and months, uh, police would connect all the dots and reveal what actually happens. And it's kind of crazy in the end five people, Kristin five people, five people. Would be connected and arrested for their involvement in these crimes, girl. So let me, let me start with the, let me tell you so Momo, this is, and this is like girls just sit back. Momo had been rapping under the same music label as a man named Linden, a Wiggins who went by the stage name of black bag LA. Sure. So, um, they, they were, you know, they knew each other, but they had some kind of falling out in the beginning of 2019, no details on what causes falling out and what the severity was, but they just were not on good terms and Wiggins, I guess, unlike Momo, because I didn't see anything about MoMA being involved in anything crazy. Wasn't worthy of note. So. Whatever, but Wiggins had a crazy, you know, lengthy criminal record that included conditions for aggravated first degree robbery, first degree burglary and drug possession. So, you know, he's no stranger to jail and, um, could have been a threat at the time. Right. But at the time of the attacks, Wiggins was in police custody on federal drug charges. So. They pretty much put him under the jail. Um, because the, the fed suspected that he was part of a gang. They accused him of operating this crazy drug trafficking ring that sold anything you want to grow heroin, uh, fentanyl, augmented heroin, um, all types of heroin, pink,

dj story_kristen:

tamale. I'm sweating. Woo. Woo.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

cocaine, crack cocaine. If you like that, um, Marijuana, all of it. And they're saying that, you know, he had some crazy drug, wait, wings, stretching everywhere from, uh, Minneapolis to Michigan. So like, he's like a drug kingpin, you know, according to the, to the feds and, back in October of 2019. Authorities had rated his properties, confiscated drugs, guns, money, all this shit. So, yeah, he is in jail, real jail. Uh, so he kind of like physically done it. Um, but while he's in jail, Wiggins is in regular contact with his girlfriend. It's 28 year old Elsa Sigora. So Elsa funny enough had been working for the County as what, as a probation officer, since 2014, maybe that's how they

dj story_kristen:

he did

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

I don't know, like, yeah, like how, what other circles would y'all to be running in it? You know, he's

dj story_kristen:

Or he sought her out. You need a down, you need a down vintage to hold you down,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

was thinking, I have no idea, but they had a relationship for years and years. And I'm wondering like, maybe, you know, she was like, you need to pee in this cup. And he was like, no, I was like, get, let it slide this time. Okay.

dj story_kristen:

right?

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

I'll do it. Um, so I don't know, we don't know how they met, but they've been, you know, con romantically involved for years at this point. And allegedly, and I have to say that allegedly Elsa used her job as a probation officer to look up people for her boyfriend, including a 40 year old man named Barry Davis. Uh, Barry Davis is besties with Linden Wiggins. Um, they go way back. Uh, Davis has a long rap sheet himself with 24 convictions in Minnesota, including multiple felonies. Um, first degree burglary of an occupied dwelling sounds familiar, uh, felon in possession of a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm, very, you know, various narcotics conditions, you know, like he's. He's he's done it all. Um, but drugs seem to be his main business. Um, and while he's being watched by police for years, he was still out on like his homeboy. So Elsa gets in touch with Davis and it's at this point that I imagined that they start scheming and planning and plotting and scheming and gripping and farting. So.

dj story_kristen:

gaze skiing

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Um, I hope they weren't fucking, that would be so messy, but, um,

dj story_kristen:

girl.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

we can't put it past these niggers. So anyway, um, so then Davis, he gets his sister Shawntay on, in, on it. Keep it in the

dj story_kristen:

David's sisters are Shantay

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Yes. Um, and the names are going to get really ridiculous in about 2.5.

dj story_kristen:

Barry Davis,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

It's Barry Davis. Right.

dj story_kristen:

Mary Davis. And his sister's name is Sean T.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Shawntay Davis.

dj story_kristen:

I'd say Davis. Okay. Got it.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

And so Shantay is in on it and then they bring her husband, his brother-in-law, you know, onboard this crime train choo, choo,

dj story_kristen:

Straight.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

exactly. And who is her husband? None other than Cedric. Where's the fucking blow Berry who was caught with 13 pounds of heroin two days after the murder murder. Yes. The names are ridiculous. A really tripped me up and that's why I was like it. Cause it's, it's very Davis and Cedric Berry and Shantay Davids. I was like, Oh my God.

dj story_kristen:

Sean tase, married to Cedric.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Oh, you're good. She's wait. Yes. Yes. Yes. You're smart.

dj story_kristen:

Shantay's brother is Barry, who is homeboys with black L a

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Beanbag in LA. Yes.

dj story_kristen:

Busted bag LA. Okay.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Busted

dj story_kristen:

Okay. I got it.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

So here's how it all played out. And legend legitly.

dj story_kristen:

Right. Cause I still don't have a, I'm still trying to find. Okay. Like, but why.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

well it's, it's so ridiculous. So. And we still, it's still an open case, so there's more to be uncovered, but allegedly David's recruits his sister Shauntay to buy a phone, which he then gives to Elsa. And Elsa uses this phone to contact Monique under the alias, Lisa Pavelski and schedule a viewing in order to learn her into an empty home alone. Uh, Then Barry gets two people to rent a U haul for him. And he tells them that he's moving to maple Grove, this nice neighborhood, and he pays them in heroin. Hmm. Now

dj story_kristen:

Hey

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

I would rather get paid in Trident layers. Then

dj story_kristen:

thinking like, damn like money or heroin, and you're going to take like people really be out here on that book.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

It's crazy. It's crazy.

dj story_kristen:

Hey you in the heroin. Wow.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

What? Give me the money. I'll take the money.

dj story_kristen:

Right,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

don't want this gift card. It sucks. So what am I going to do? It's useless to me. Um, almost I got to sell it and then I'm, I'm a business owner. Like, I don't know.

dj story_kristen:

I'm not trying to flip nothing, like give me what I'm owed and do, and let me be on my way.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

right. But anyways, he pays them in heroin. They get the truck, they, you know, you know what happens then they, uh, they kidnap her, they use her keys to gain access to her and John Mitchell Momo's home. And. I do not know if the original plan was to kill Monique all along, or if something went wrong that I guess we're going to have to see, but we, you know, what ended up happening? Um, it's it seems like, uh, they were using her to get to him. Right. And they had already shot him. She was tied up and it's from my understanding. Um, the man who had kidnapped her was wearing a mask. So

dj story_kristen:

wouldn't, she wouldn't have known their identity any anyways.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

right. What was, why did y'all do that? Um, the police trace the U-Haul back to its original hub. They found the names of the people who rented it. They tell the police, they rented it for Barry. And that's how the police are able to get a search warrant for Barry's car stupid. So, um, to me, I think they really, he probably would have gotten away with it if he didn't give those people his name, I'm not telling people how to do crime.

dj story_kristen:

right,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

you could find a

dj story_kristen:

use an alias,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

right. Find a heroin addict that you don't know. Like it can't be that hard.

dj story_kristen:

No.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Um, just find somebody who finds somebody else and just say your name is Mike was, say your name is fucking Sali. Say your name is anybody, but don't tell them like, yes,

dj story_kristen:

Jimmy, your real name. Come on,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

I drink Berry,

dj story_kristen:

Right.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

not wise, but anyways, I mean, good for us. Uh, good for the world for ambient kind of dumb, But yeah. So once they get a search warrant for Barry's car, that's where everything starts to unfold. I don't know if Barry told or what, but the next thing, you know, there was a warrant out for Elsa Sigora and Barry Davis and Elsa turned herself in, but Davis, he said, no, I'm going to try to, uh, get out. He, he, he tried to, he fled the state. Um, and he was at large for a few months before the police caught him in may of 2020. Um, in the meantime Shawntay was arrested in February. And it seems like it took the police a while to kind of trace everything back to Lyndon ligans. Like they were just reading the, um, the articles. They were like, why, why it was because Lyndon Wiggins had beef with. John Mitchell Momo. That's what it came down to. That was the reason why, so that that's all it was.

dj story_kristen:

like, but to go, okay, I'm sorry. That is some pussy ass shit to go after the mother of his children.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

It was, and that's the part that doesn't make any sense to me. They didn't hurt the children, which is great, but they really should have just left her alone. If you wanted to go after him, just go after him. You actually didn't need, you didn't need the keys. You could have just busted down the windows or something like you could have just got him while he was outside taking out the trash. Like y'all, didn't need to be all this. You didn't need to involve her at all. and it's, it's just, it's all fucked up because she's the one who ended up passing away.

dj story_kristen:

Right.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

uh, John Momo he's, he's still alive and, um, thankfully there's two kids are still alive, but, um, in the end, drew Barry and Barry Davis are both charged with two counts of aiding and abetting. First degree murder, uh, attempted first degree murder and aiding and abetting kidnapping. Shante Davis is also charged for her involvement. Um, Ellis is a girl is charged with aiding and abetting kidnapping, and second degree murder. And her former boyfriend Lyndon Wiggins is charged with the same counts. So all these people, thankfully are all in police custody, five people to carry out this ridiculous plot. Um, And you really didn't need this many people. And honestly, so many lives are ruined and so many families are broken of what it's like, because you were, and we don't know what the fallout was, you know, between Wiggins and, and Momo. Like, I don't know what went down, but, um, I guess it'll come

dj story_kristen:

It's never that serious. I don't

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

It's not

dj story_kristen:

it's never that serious to take it to that level.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

they're saying that, um, I think they, I think they had a date set for January 19th. And then there's another date set for, for next month. I'm gonna be watching this to see what happens.

dj story_kristen:

Right.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

but it's just it's so it's so fucked up that there were so many moving parts and nobody was like, leave this woman alone. Like it's, it's, it's, it's really ridiculous that, um, this came from a beef between two men and this woman who. Had nothing to do with it. A

dj story_kristen:

with it.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

is now gone.

dj story_kristen:

So senseless.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Yeah. So it's awful. It really is awful rests in paradise to Monique Baba. And God bless her, her daughters who, at this point, I guess I'm probably four and two years old. They are so cute. Burst off. It's so recent that the, the Instagram is still up I was so upset. Like I looked at the pictures of her with her daughters and them together. I mean, he's still putting out music and I guess he has to, you know, of course make a living for his

dj story_kristen:

Right. Or his children and family. Yeah.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

but it's just, it's really sad. It's so sad. And I wish that didn't, I really just wish that didn't happen. Um, And then I mean, as far as like the community, this really shook up the community and this isn't an Apolis. Um, so her employer, uh, the, the real estate agency I think is called Kris Lindahl real estate. Um, they had this to say about Mo Monique. They said the world lost someone amazing. When Monique Bob passed away on December 31st, Monique was a beautiful person who was kind and compassionate. She made an impact on everyone. She met, she was very driven and a joy to be around. Monique leaves behind two young girls ages one and three. She was a loving mother who always put her daughters first. And by her Instagram, you could tell that. And then people had written stuff like, you know, she had such great energy. She souls my wife in our house and I'm so sorry. Like it's, it's, it's heartbreaking. It really is. And, and that was how 2020 kicked off in Minneapolis. So. Um, Monique's stuff was probably the first of 2020 that stood to radicalize a community against senseless violence. Because a few days after Monique was killed, uh, a group of community leaders, uh, called the news conference, calling for answers in the, in the death of Monique Baugh and, and asking for an end, uh, to gun violence in the African American community. A lot of people came forward saying that it was an outrage and it was heinous and actions need to be taken in order to, uh, for things to change. And the mayor, Jacob Frey was in attendance. And towards the end of the event, he took the microphone saying the following. He said, we don't have random deaths in Minneapolis. This was someone's mother. This was a business woman. This was a community leader. And he said that he'd been working nonstop with the police chief to make sure that the perpetrators will be brought to justice. And I mean, apparently, I mean, they're, they're in police custody, so work is being done. Um, but he said we will not tolerate this violence here in our communities. And if the reason why I said his name like that is because this is the same Jacob Frey that made headlines last spring, when he backed the firing of the four police officers involved in the brutal murder of George Floyd. He, and at the time, I mean, yeah, he was like, he was probably one of the few, if not the only like, you know, mayor that I can recall that was like fire these motherfuckers, get them out of here. W we're not standing for this. So he stood in support of the protestors. He's saying all the right things. He pushed for reform even, you know, quickly getting choke, holds a band and encouraging POS intervene and report other POS for using excessive force and stuff like that. So, you know, it seemed like it was in the right place, but during a June protest that you probably can recall because the video was all over Twitter, he was out with. The people and was asked point blank about abolition of the police. And he said, I do not support the full, absolute abolition of the police. And he was booed and, um, very quickly they say, get show ass out of here and take that math. You can get the fuck outta here, but I mean, whatever. However, yesterday, Yesterday for us two days ago for y'all, uh, the Minneapolis police union, uh, Lieutenant Bob Crow, a staunch Trump supporter announced his retirement to which fray responded on Twitter. He said, good. Riddens so, Oh. And, uh, Bob Kroll got in trouble for producing t-shirts that said cops for Trump. So that's why the girls wanted him out. Yeah. So this story, I don't know if you've ever heard this story. I didn't hear about

dj story_kristen:

I didn't. No, no. And I just, I was looking her up. Um, and you're right. She's absolutely stunning.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Oh my God. Um, I'll post a picture on the. Instagram, but yeah, it was just, it's so sad. She just seemed like a really nice person and a beautiful person. And, um, her kid's so fucking cute and it's just all this violence and death in, in our communities and in the world, like, it just needs to stop. Like, can we just stop? Whether it's a police officer as a civilian, it doesn't matter. Like we just need to have more respect for human life as a whole.

dj story_kristen:

Right.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

And black lives matter and always will matter and protect black women.

dj story_kristen:

Mike drop. Damn. That was a great story.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

it's a sad one,

dj story_kristen:

It's a sad story I tell, but I'm glad that you just shared that because

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

I was like, this is, I can't believe it was so messy. It was so ridiculous. And, and I was just like, no, why is she in it? Why is she in it?

dj story_kristen:

Oh,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

That was the, as I'm reading it, I'm like this guy shit to do with this girl.

dj story_kristen:

at all.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

And if you're going to do all this bitch, wear a mask, wear a voice disguise, don't talk, like do whatever you do so that the protect, the innocent that lady was. In a sense she had nothing to do with it. And if this really was because of some, some, some, uh, music beat bitch, put it on wax, get on the studio, use your words.

dj story_kristen:

Your bars. Okay. Where are the bars? hear those rather than the it's dumb ass scheme. And the thing is if they needed the keys. They didn't even have to take her out of the house. Like you said, they could have tied her up, taking the keys and said peace, taking her phone, whatever they could have, someone would have eventually come and found her. You know what I'm saying?

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

They could have it didn't even have to take her into it. It could have been like, we're going to ask you for the keys to your car so you can't go anywhere. Um, we're gonna tie you up and put you in the closet in this, uh, place. I would've did. I mean, I'm not, I'm not a criminal, but I wouldn't.

dj story_kristen:

Allegedly would have maybe.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

I would've just been like, all right, but don't turn around. Don't look at my face and don't remember my voice, get in the closet and count to 20. And I just would've, uh, skedaddled would have been that easy. Like give me the keys to your house and your car. I don't know, bitch. Call it. Uber, go to the neighbor. I don't know what to tell you, but we're out of here,

dj story_kristen:

Right, but you're right. Keep that shit in between men. If that's men's business, keep that shit men's business. Now you've ruined a family for what?

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

several families. And for

dj story_kristen:

Right.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

as my queen says, please keep the hateration and the hollow ration out of the Dancery please. This dancer, we didn't need that because if he was jealous because he got a deal and he was making money, I mean, what were you going to do with that money? Because, Oh, this is the thing, the. So what the prosecution is going to try to say is like, this is a murder for hire plot. Like, but they were doing, I mean, when I was going through all the, like the, the receipts girl, they were on camera caught on candy camera, buying the phone. Then the cell phones are pinging off of pinging off

dj story_kristen:

all the 10 hours just it's. Okay.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

and your shit right now. How, how stupid can you be?

dj story_kristen:

Right.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

How, just, how stupid can you be? Do you think that you're going to get away with it? If you're going to do the crime, leave the phone at home. I'm not

dj story_kristen:

That's rule number one,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

telling you how to do it, but if you can't like, if you don't know how to get to the house and maple Grove bitch, get a map, you know, old school, it.

dj story_kristen:

right.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Uh, take the rap. Look, I'm not going to tell people how to do crimes. Cause I'm like, I would've driven there

dj story_kristen:

I'm going to give you all the keys to the crime kingdom.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

keys the keys to Alcatraz bitch keys to jail. But I'm just saying like, there's, there's a better way to go about it. Um, But I'm glad that they were stupid. I'm glad they got caught. I'm just really upset that they did it in the first place. They felt that they needed to take that woman's life and it really wasn't necessary. Now, those two girls are growing up without a mother. Um, and when they do become an age and they have to learn about what happened to their mother, like it's, it's so sad. but if you, if you as, um, keep put it, put it on wax is what I have to say. If you got a beef with another rapper, get in the booth.

dj story_kristen:

There's a lot of, or has been especially last year, just senseless. Rat beefs that have gone always 87 steps too far,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Right.

dj story_kristen:

like dying, like shoot shootouts for what

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

yes. Why, why, what are y'all killing people for rap beef? Y'all are fighting. Y'all are killing each other over poems, over words,

dj story_kristen:

wordplay.

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Come on now.

dj story_kristen:

And even if it's more than that, like, even if it's, I don't know, something was said, sneak, dissing, whatever. It's simply not that serious in 21 Savage was right when he said niggas don't want to fight no more. Like all he said, I will be too the fuck up with these hands. I don't need to pull out a gun or knife. Like let's just scrap call today. Okay. Like, let's take it all the way back to the

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

21 Savage said this.

dj story_kristen:

Yes. In an interview,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

All righty. I'm about to look up how tall he is.

dj story_kristen:

he looks, he looks smart. He is small. Like he has a small frame, but he also thinks a

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

Oh, hell no girl. He is six feet, zero inches.

dj story_kristen:

Oh, right. I thought he was at least five 10. I don't know. He seems shorter on

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

I mean, he does, he does seem shorter, but um, every time, every time somebody says 21 Savage, I picture. That evil villain, like meme of him, you know what I'm talking about? not an attractive, it's not his best moment. He looks crazy.

dj story_kristen:

Oh, my gosh, he looks like he's preparing for world domination and he just like, we're watching like a game or something and he just interrupted, like, hello, Townes Dr. Doomsday. Oh my

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

It really does look like that. Oh my gosh. He looks like he bites, but anyways, um,

dj story_kristen:

Hm,

Ep10_D'Janai_Pt1:

well that was my story. So now I'm ready to, um, sit back.

kristen story_kristen:

He, here we go. So,

kristen story_dj:

Get comfy.

kristen story_kristen:

all right guys, we are going to, uh, or rogano

kristen story_dj:

Okay.

kristen story_kristen:

AK and known as Oregon to a town called binned, B E N D. Ben, Oregon.

kristen story_dj:

So you do an abandoned.

kristen story_kristen:

Um, we're done abandoned. this story is about a 23 year old dental's distant, and a student at the local central Oregon community college. And her name is Kaylee Sawyer.

kristen story_dj:

It's just another case. This is not your first Kaylee.

kristen story_kristen:

It is, I've never done a Kaylee.

kristen story_dj:

Hmm. All right. I could have sworn it was another Kiwi, but you know

kristen story_kristen:

Check my track record,

kristen story_dj:

these names sounded like to me, Kaylee Tayley Maley. Dailies.

kristen story_kristen:

Mia Tasmania

kristen story_dj:

Yeah.

kristen story_kristen:

there.

kristen story_dj:

Yes.

kristen story_kristen:

so Kaylee's 23 years old. She is a beautiful, outgoing, very funny girl as described by her coworkers. And. Her parents described her as kind of like a Jack of all trades. And she dabbled in a few different areas before they said that she really talked passionately about her dental assistant job. She really loved it. She loved the people she worked with, and she was just really enjoying it and felt like she was on a path either to becoming a dentist or furthering along this career plan. So Kaylee at the time was dating a man named Cameron ream, Hoffer, or rhyme. Hoffert I'm going to go with right offer. and they had been together for two years at this point. So from all, uh, I'm sorry, this is 2016,

kristen story_dj:

2016. Okay. My bad. Okay.

kristen story_kristen:

Yes. So from all accounts, from what I found, they had a pretty normal relationship, like your typical Spatz, just normal relationship shit, but they seem to really love each other because they had decided to move in together. So they live together in a apartment complex. That was like pretty much walking distance from, central Oregon community college.

kristen story_dj:

Did he go there too?

kristen story_kristen:

Yes,

kristen story_dj:

Oh, okay.

kristen story_kristen:

I think. Or he was working. I don't know, but they were together. So July 22nd Kaley had been out of town. I think with a friend visiting a friend and she had been invited to one of her coworkers, bachelorette parties. So. Kaylee ends up telling her coworker, like, listen, I don't know if I'll make it back in enough time to come to the party. I'll let you know. It's a coworker said, you know, she ended up calling me while we were at the bar, the bachelorette party and was like, listen, I'm on my way. I was able to come back. I can't wait to see you. And so she ends up joining her coworker and this woman, she. Pretty much the ladies that Kaylee works with works with are older. Like she's one of the youngest people probably working in the dental office. So this lady was in her forties. and so she went, uh, she said Kaylee came was her usual self, very outgoing, very fun hanging out with, you know.

kristen story_dj:

right. She's part of the roofs

kristen story_kristen:

Right, right. And so as you know, the old hands typically, do you know, maybe it's 11 o'clock like it's time.

kristen story_dj:

Oh my girl. What are you about to say me to take my pill. It's time for me to get my bed.

kristen story_kristen:

So you had explained that, you know, Hey Kaylee, like where we're going to go. And Kaylee was out with a friend. Like brought a friend with her to the, a party and Kayla and her friend were like, well, we kind of want to keep, you know, right. Like, exactly. So Kaylee see y'all at work. Kaylee's about her coworker and Kaylee and her friend decided to walk to another local bar. So. Dateline reported that at this bar, Kaley was reportedly already a little tipsy feeling herself and was talking and dancing with a random guy. I say random guy, because he like, no one even knew his name. It doesn't really pertain anything to the story, but just know she was there and was, you know, dancing, doing the two-step whatever with a random guy. Well, one of Cameron's friends is actually at the bar and he's like, I know my eyes deceive me. Like this is not, no, this is not, this is not going there.

kristen story_dj:

Not her socializing on her own accord. How dare she?

kristen story_kristen:

right. But whatever was taking place, although she, although that is important, you can socialize on your own accord and be out without your boyfriend, whatever was happening in that Barbara Kay Liam, that random man, it warranted a text to Cameron. So the friend, right. He dissonant, she drives us all the way, but he was like, listen, I'm at the bar and she, and her acting singles. So like, what's going to go on. And so somehow I guess, Cameron, he was like, all right, ends up texting her. And somehow they can communicate that communication and he's like, it's time. So he comes to pick her up. Right. So he ends up coming to pick her up and Cameron, explain that on the way home. Of course, they're arguing. he's just received a text that like, Hey, your girlfriend's in here. He had to come pick her up. I'm sure they were just. Doing a typical argument. She's a little tipsy anyways. I don't know. I don't think he was drinking. He was driving. So this normal couple, like arguing. And so as they're pulling into the apartment complex and parking, I guess the arguing is continuing. And so he ends up saying, you know, we left arguing. I just ended up going inside. She said she didn't want to come inside. She wanted to stay in the car. So I left her in the car in the parking lot. Right. He is indoors and comes back out, I believe like a few minutes later or so. And when he comes back out, she's gone,

kristen story_dj:

Oh, okay.

kristen story_kristen:

but I have to note her parents and he explained when they would argue or when she would be frustrated, mad, whatever, she would go on walks to cool off, which is a common. Coping mechanism that people do use. If you're angry, upset, whatever. I just need to go blow off some steam. I need to go take a

kristen story_dj:

if you're a man. Sure. right. Uh, if you are a woman who's been drinking and it's the middle of the night, I'm gonna go for a walk in my bedroom almost. I'm going to pace my, my bathroom and kitchen. You can go outside

kristen story_kristen:

true.

kristen story_dj:

about what you did.

kristen story_kristen:

Very true. So, uh, But it just seemed as though her family explained this was not uncommon for necessarily still, like you explained, don't think I would have left her in the car. Like we're either going to sit in here together or

kristen story_dj:

get, uh, pretend you're in, pretend you're outside, but pace around the living room, you know, do what you need to do.

kristen story_kristen:

Or at that point, like, listen, why don't you go upstairs, all stay in the car if that's what I

kristen story_dj:

But you're not going to go for a brisk walk in the middle of the night alone.

kristen story_kristen:

And so it isn't until some more minutes go by and he's calling and texting her and he's blowing up her phone at this point and she's not responding. Like she's not picking up. And so he begins to worry when the last text he gets from her just says goodbye. And he's like, Oh, Hey, something is not right. So as soon as the morning comes, he's calling her mom. Her dad, she had a really close relationship with her grandparents and asked if they had heard from her. And they were like, no, we haven't. They start blowing up. Her phone immediately is going dead. So they're not trying to necessarily panic at this point. Cause they think she does take walks to blow off steam. She could have just

kristen story_dj:

An eight hour walk girl,

kristen story_kristen:

no. Right. But never had a friend to come and pick her up. Like we. They're not trying to assume the absolute worst, but they are concerned because she ends up not showing up for work. And that's when they file a missing persons report that day. so they didn't really waste much time because they were like, clearly something is not right. And her mother even said like, she could feel at the bottom of her stomach, like something. Is not right. Mother's intuition. I really, really believe in it. Also, the police did look at her boyfriend, Cameron really, really hard because they were like, the story just still seems like weird. Like it still seems like, why would you leave her out in the car? Like dah, dah, dah, and then even her family.

kristen story_dj:

to leave her.

kristen story_kristen:

Right. But even her family was kind of like what's going on, but the family and Cameron talked it out, worked it out and turns out Cameron had nothing to do with it at all. And Kaylee really did go and take a walk that night. So I normally to the family in the bin police department, there is a woman sitting in the lobby who's been there since early morning and just said, I need to talk to a sheriff. I'm not talking to anyone else, but a sheriff. And so, She ends up finally being able to talk to the sheriff and turns out her name is Isabel pawns. Laura and Isabel is actually a recent graduate of the been like police Academy. So she just recently became an officer and decided to come in mind you, she wasn't working that day. So a lot of the cops who were passing by were like, what is she doing here? And why she just waiting.

kristen story_dj:

And demanding to speak to a sheriff only.

kristen story_kristen:

Right. And so Isabel ends up telling the officers that her husband, Edwin Laura has been acting really strange ever since Kaylee went missing

kristen story_dj:

Hm.

kristen story_kristen:

and they're like, Mm. What do you mean by that? Like we recently not choose a missing person. Like what do you like, how, why do

kristen story_dj:

Yeah. How many, how long has it been? Really?

kristen story_kristen:

Right, right. so she ended up telling him, telling them that Edwin tells her that he hit Kaley with his patrol car because Edwin. Works as a campus police officer for central Oregon community college,

kristen story_dj:

course he does.

kristen story_kristen:

I do that does not, he is not a real police officer. He is campus police who goes around and if something pops off, they call a real police officer. Okay. Just want to make that clear. Yes. He said it was in the wee hours of the morning. And he didn't see her walking and he struck her and he went to check on her and she was dead. And so he put her body in the car and went and hit her body.

kristen story_dj:

Uh, um,

kristen story_kristen:

Right.

kristen story_dj:

you know,

kristen story_kristen:

right. Sorry.

kristen story_dj:

um, sorry, just, you know, if isn't that probably has like a lot of practice doing this because it's like his only job. To see something and then call the police. So in this case you saw what happened, do what you do all day, every day, which is call the police. Like, why wouldn't you just call the police and say like, Oh, there was a woman who, was, walking down the street, didn't see her hit her, you know? Oops. Uh, and then call the police and see if you can Get her to a hospital or something to me, that's what an innocent person would do. But, um, based on the topic of this podcast, I don't think that this person is probably innocent. So let's go ahead and find out.

kristen story_kristen:

okay. So she's telling this story at this point, she sobbing and she's like, I'm worried that he's suicidal. And he took off after telling me. And I have not seen him since. And the Weezer like, okay, this is crazy, but they decide to first drive to the Laura's home, to one, make sure he's not there,

kristen story_dj:

Yeah. Yeah.

kristen story_kristen:

like came back and to, to search the home. So they searched the home. They go through the house don't necessarily see anything yet, but they have an outside shed. And so as they opened the shin on the floor, there is Kaylee's green blood. So purse her or bloody women's and men's clothing. And other of her belongings in the shed as well, as well as a rock, like a. Is it like a mini, Boulder? What do you call?

kristen story_dj:

a mini books. mean, any rock has a mini book.

kristen story_kristen:

Yeah, like the size of a hand raw.

kristen story_dj:

Okay. The one that, the one that the pioneers used to ride,

kristen story_kristen:

Um, Okay. On the rock it was bloodstain and it also had a clump of walking here. On the rock,

kristen story_dj:

I hate that word. I hate the word clump so much.

kristen story_kristen:

okay. Professor clump, clump come, come here. So at this point, they're putting out a PBS, they're saying, listen, if you see this man Edmund, Laura, you need to call the authorities. He's armed, possibly armed and dangerous. So I can not, I forget if it was his parents' home or his brother's home, I believe, but he went, he ha he was obviously in. Uh, recognizable car that, um, Isabelle had told the police about like their car, but he ended up switching cars with one of his family members. But once they figured out that

kristen story_dj:

He's on the Lam.

kristen story_kristen:

yeah. That he's on the Lam, Edwin at this point knows that he's going to have to get another car along the way. So he gets all the way to salem, Oregon, and he ends up going in or sitting in like a Ross park. Yeah.

kristen story_dj:

Oh,

kristen story_kristen:

And he's

kristen story_dj:

bras dress for less.

kristen story_kristen:

dress for motherfucking

kristen story_dj:

Oh, my God.

kristen story_kristen:

he ends up, he ends up scouring and looking for someone who he can carve out. And he ended up settling on 19 year old, Andrea Elizabeth Mays, who since had just gotten off of work,

kristen story_dj:

Oh, that would be,

kristen story_kristen:

just gotten off of work, like chilling in her car. And all of a sudden someone opens her door and gets in.

kristen story_dj:

I would've been like, you gotta be fucking kidding me.

kristen story_kristen:

Okay.

kristen story_dj:

I'm trying to relax,

kristen story_kristen:

Right. And at first she said, she thought it was a joke, like clear, like this is not,

kristen story_dj:

This is this can't be real life.

kristen story_kristen:

this can't be real. And then she sees the gun like, right. Gun he's holding. He is holding her at this point hostage. And he just tells her to start driving.

kristen story_dj:

No, uh, because seriously, what do you need me for? Take the fucking keys.

kristen story_kristen:

Right. So as they drive to California, he's telling her all about how he just murdered this girl and he's on the run. And if she does what he says, She'll be fine, but if not he's killed before, he's not afraid to kill again

kristen story_dj:

Get the fuck outta here, Kristen. First off I would have been putting fingers and toes in my ears. I'm like, I don't know what you're talking about. I don't know. I can't hear you. I don't don't implicate me in any of this shit. I'm not a part of it. I'm not even here. You know, this is all a simulation. I'm not, this is just take the keys and go. Why implicate somebody else? Why bring, what? Why is she in it?

kristen story_kristen:

at all at

kristen story_dj:

the name of this episode? Why is she

kristen story_kristen:

Why is she in it? That amen. So they're continuing to drive. They end up in Eureka, California. Where he ends up getting in a scuffle with a man because he needed another car at this point. Uh, Andrea had told him in the car like this car is not built for this distance. Um, like it needs all this, this and that. Like, it's not, it's not gonna last us. And I, and it ended up breaking down, I believe. So they ended up at a super eight motel where he.

kristen story_dj:

the lights on.

kristen story_kristen:

Shoots one, man who he critically injured, but recovered.

kristen story_dj:

Jesus Christ.

kristen story_kristen:

Um, and he ends up taking some hostages as well. So from my understanding, he, they needed another car. He carjacked a family. I believe he shot the dad of the family who was injured, but recovered and in the car though, there were still like there were two or three children. And so he ends up bringing them along as they continue to drive. So it's Andrea plus now three hostages in the car.

kristen story_dj:

Nah, I thought the, my story was a crime train this right here. Crime plane. This is crime Titanic. This is too many people doesn't like it keeps he's recruiting people like, it's Forex.

kristen story_kristen:

right. And so Oh, no, it wasn't. It was a woman in her two grandsons. And so he takes them along for a little bit, but then he drops them off on the side of the road on harmed. But when they interviewed the woman and her two grandsons, they're like, yeah, like he was. Again, telling us that he killed Kaylee and Ben, I don't know why he feels the need to like broadcast this to everyone, but he's telling any and everyone who can,

kristen story_dj:

He wants to be known. He wants what is, cause you really could have said anything. You'd just be like, I just like to steal people's cars. I like to, I just liked to steal cars. So actually I don't have to explain shit to you. I don't have to say

kristen story_kristen:

No, I'm holding. My key was in control the whole time.

kristen story_dj:

like they're not in there demanding, uh, answers. And why is he trying to recruit everybody into his MLM, multi multi-level marketing.

kristen story_kristen:

marketing scheme yet.

kristen story_dj:

His, his Ponzi scheme, uh, crime, spree. Stop it.

kristen story_kristen:

Great. Right. And so. After he dropped them off, he then makes Andrea who is still there. He didn't let her go. He made her record a video of him to post on Facebook with the caption murderer on the loose and kidnapped. And he goes on to talk about all his crimes yet again, and is begging the police not to kill him. The cops are able to locate Andrea and Edwin and they're doing, um, what's it called? Where they just follow you? Uh, chase, uh, chase.

kristen story_dj:

High speed. Chase.

kristen story_kristen:

Like OJ, OJ

kristen story_dj:

Yeah.

kristen story_kristen:

in the Bronco. That's what they're doing with car chase. Gosh, my words are escaping me But she was smart in the sense of, she was like, He's dumb because I ended up posting it to like a private, viewing or something. She didn't post it to all of your friends. Um, she was able to like hide the post. Um, but she made him think that she did it. She was like, I didn't want my family to be viewing this or seeing this, or have any attachment to me, of me, to him

kristen story_dj:

in case. Okay. That are out of been like, this is the last time y'all need to go see me. I would have been like looking all scared. I would have been Olivia Pope holding up that newspaper, like. This is it? Y'all

kristen story_kristen:

this is it. See you later. Um, so finally the chase comes to an end and they actually end up arresting Andrea too. Cause at this point they did not know. Really who she was. They didn't know she was an accomplished, like his, who she was. So they needed to take her in. Right. I'm like, um, you can all sit in the back, but you're not putting me in no damn handcuffs, not after a while. I just fucking been through with this, like, no, but they ended up clearing her very, very quickly and come to realize that she is a victim and has been forced to be. And accomplice to this crazy person. And so as the police are interrogating Edwin, he admits that he's always had a very strong urge to kill, but he was only able to control it because of the love of his wife. He loved Isabelle. So he was always able to kind of suppress it, but this night in particular, when he encountered it kind of reared its ugly head. And want to know, as the police were searching their home, they did find in his shed. This was kind of like his little shed house of horrors. He had done a few projects like for school, um, on serial killers. He had a very big fascination with serial killers in dead bodies. And in

kristen story_dj:

him then, because what are we doing? I said, are aren't we not like him then? Because this is a project about serial killers. Got it. So

kristen story_kristen:

no, because

kristen story_dj:

go ahead. Make it make sense. Good. I'm listening.

kristen story_kristen:

no. Right. This kind of makes sense because it's going to later be uncovered that many of the other campus police officers did not like Edwin. And he was a very creepy and weird individual towards them. And he had shown a lot of red flags that they just never reported, almost like, you know, you know, there's always that one person at work, like no one fucks with. But they're just there, I guess you do, you don't, don't come over here with that foolishness, but

kristen story_dj:

Someone who's has clearly been rejected from the social watering hole, their entire life. And it's just like, that person is weird and sometimes, you know, you want to be nice to them. And sometimes you're just like, you know what? I can't,

kristen story_kristen:

I can't do it today.

kristen story_dj:

I can't you bat. And it's always like usually bad VO, weird haircut. Um, doesn't know what to say to people.

kristen story_kristen:

Right.

kristen story_dj:

Yeah, so

kristen story_kristen:

Or sometimes they're mean, and you're just like, I don't want to be around you're nasty too. Like, it can be a mold just like, sometimes you're not going to get along with all of your coworkers, but this was more than just like, Oh, he's staying. This was like, He had a fascination, like I said, with dead bodies and would show like dead bodies to his coworkers, as well as nudes of him and videos, pornographic videos of himself all the time. And it was coworkers. He actually shoved a female coworker up against the wall. I think you thought they were playing, but they weren't. Um, Right, right. And it was just, it wasn't good with him, but it went unreported. So no one knew no one knew the severity of like, he did not need to be on this force because. These officers in particular were given uniforms that looked very, very close to the actual Ben police. They also were able to have ballistic vests, body cameras, handcuffs, pepper, spray habits, police, mind you.

kristen story_dj:

campus police

kristen story_kristen:

These are just the campus police officers were allowed to carry all of this.

kristen story_dj:

campus police just be looking like we need a junior. Like you need a hat with a pinwheel on it. You need a flashlight.

kristen story_kristen:

Right. When I picture a campus police, I picture like Carl Winslow, right? Like chilling, eating a donut, just like cool with everyone. Like he's ready to call nine one, one.

kristen story_dj:

I want my campus police looking like fucking Pee-wee Herman. I need everybody.

kristen story_kristen:

Yes. Yes. I want Paul Blart mall cop to be

kristen story_dj:

Yeah, no, I absolutely no, no salting platoon people at all. You need to be looking soft and delicate. You need to show up with no, not matter of fact. No, no flashlight. Okay. Just a clipboard. Hey, how can I help you? And just make notes right? With what happened? You don't get any, nothing to, nothing to enforce any type of law or authority. You are a clipboard. You're walking, talking clipboard. Oh my God. Are you crazy?

kristen story_kristen:

I'll get to the back.

kristen story_dj:

There's a fight that breaks out. You need to be the first one out of the room.

kristen story_kristen:

Okay. Quick Lee. Quickly. So they are getting all the benefits of carrying around like real police equipment

kristen story_dj:

No.

kristen story_kristen:

without actually having to go through the process of becoming an officer. And one important thing to know is that in his car, in their cars, they had vehicles with, they had a vehicle with like a cage. They also had the vehicle that had been the plastic,

kristen story_dj:

partition?

kristen story_kristen:

the participants between. You know the person?

kristen story_dj:

Are you kidding me? How old is this man? Yeah,

kristen story_kristen:

Edwin How old was he? 34 years.

kristen story_dj:

What a fucking loser. And you, cause you mentioned that there were projects that he had done about, um, serial killers and I'm like, well, is he in school also? Like why,

kristen story_kristen:

Yes. He, he was in school. He was a criminal justice major, but I don't think he

kristen story_dj:

Of course he was, you know what? These fucking weirdos, they are so weird. And I'm pretty sure if I were to look him up, I know he's just, he's ugly. Um, Izzy I'm right, right. He's ugly. He's ugly. Right. So always ugly, always weird and weird because they're ugly. And then, they're always obsessed. They want to be cops. They're obsessed with Trump, like trying to play that role because you want to have some kind of sense of control because you were kicked like a tin can down the road, your whole entire childhood, and you want to get back at the world for some shit, but it's just like, they always want to be cops always.

kristen story_kristen:

Edwin continues his interrogation with police and lets them know that he did not hit Kaylee with his car. Okay. So, and this had been a few days, this was all this took place. He was arrested July 25th, I believe. And this took place. Wait, let me. July 23rd. So he didn't get very far in his crime spree. We both have really dumb ass perpetrators too.

kristen story_dj:

Yeah. Um, but he wasn't, it seemed like you weren't really, wasn't trying to get away with it all this running away and recruiting people into your crime spree and for what? And for why like you weren't, he wasn't trying to get away. I don't know what his end game was. Um, lost, he got mines brewed by himself and it worked.

kristen story_kristen:

Exactly. So Edwin would say that that night he did see Kaylee walking near or. Pretty much on campus. and you remember, they lived a really, really close to the campus. So it makes sense that he would be patrolling at that time. And I believe he could tell that she was one, a, a little tipsy too. He offered to give her a ride and I don't know what exactly transpired if she said no. Or yes, but before she, they explained as that he basically went up to her and choked her out, like put her in a choke hold. And I think she probably let him get that close because he looked like a police officer. Um, maybe I'm just getting stopped or they're asking what I'm doing, I'm sharing.

kristen story_dj:

for me.

kristen story_kristen:

Right. So I could definitely see how she would instantly go to like, well trust it's a police officer.

kristen story_dj:

right.

kristen story_kristen:

so he threw her in the back with like behind the partition and goes on a little drive, like a F um, I want to say like 15, 20 minutes out to like a. Parking lot Neeraj. Um, what's it called? A ravine. Yeah. And so that's when Kaylee starts to come to and she begins to fight back. At this point, he's dragging her out of the car and attempting to sexually assault her and she's giving him a hell of a fight. There were defensive marks and. His, um, skin like underneath her fingernails, like she really did fight for her life. but unfortunately with the blow to the head from the rock that was found at Edwin's home. She could not sustain her injuries. And so he ends up bleeding the police back to the spot where he drove her to, and she was just, you know, neatly covered, like couldn't have been seen from the road, but when you get closer, you can clearly see that she is there.

kristen story_dj:

Oh my God.

kristen story_kristen:

Edwin was initially indicted on four counts of aggravated aggravated murder in Kaley's abduction. Rape and killing case. I believe, I believe he assaulted her also. Post-mortem

kristen story_dj:

Oh

kristen story_kristen:

all around kind of sick as fuck. Um, and so to avoid getting the death penalty, he pleaded guilty to one count each of accurate aggravated murder and robbery. Getting sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole

kristen story_dj:

Good.

kristen story_kristen:

Currently incarcerated at the Eastern Oregon correctional institution and pedals in Oregon.

kristen story_dj:

Wow.

kristen story_kristen:

Right. Right. Very much. Giving senseless again?

kristen story_dj:

Yeah, there was really no point. Like it, he did not even know her. She was just minding her fucking business and he saw an opportunity and he took it and he took that young girl's life.

kristen story_kristen:

And for him, for someone to say, And he said to his, I believe his, uh, what's it called defense lawyers. Like he was someone who always had an urge to kill. He he's all, he had always wanted to try that. And so, right. And so, yeah, and his interrogation, he was like, she was unfortunately the perfect victim late at night. Tipsy, smaller frame girl. And he got her and he gained her trust within the first five seconds. Cause he looked like a police officer since then though harp her family did Sue. They filed a federal lawsuit in thousand 17, arguing that S uh, Caylee excepted arrived from him or trusted him because she believed he was a police officer that she could trust. And instead she was held against her will patrol car with doors that she couldn't even open from inside. And so they actually settled with the school. They were awarded$2 million. And then Kaley's law went into effect where I believe it changed the equipment that, school off campus police are allowed to carry.

kristen story_dj:

It better be a hat with a pinwheel on it, and it better be a lollipop and a clipboard. I could sit here for another 30 minutes and talk about all the ridiculous things I would put on the campus police. Suspenders socks. Everybody has to have a man button or have a hat with a pinwheel on it. I really

kristen story_kristen:

Okay. And a red nose every Friday. Pop on. That's your, that's your day to shine,

kristen story_dj:

tie. And you know, when there's a commotion, you just show up with that pen. You're just writing. You're taking copious notes. Oh, this happened. And this happened and this happened. And then I just ran away. That's all y'all need to do. And they better write with pens, with little furry things on top of it.

kristen story_kristen:

Right. And so there's now an Oregon state law, known as Kaley's law, the law, current tells some of the policing authority from security officers hired to patrol college campuses because they all they're missing is a gun they're trigger happy they're either. And this is not true for all of them or y'all, you're listening, but. Some of y'all really just are trying to be cop adjacent.

kristen story_dj:

tripper yet. And why would you want to be, why would you want to be 12 adjacent? Ah,

kristen story_kristen:

Right,

kristen story_dj:

I, if you are very curious about. You want to kill someone? And you're very curious about like killing someone. I highly recommend you try it on yourself first. Yeah. As that, let us know how it works out before you do it, do it to someone else. See if you got your shit right. Um, see if you like it. Uh, let us know from the other side, um, if it was everything you ever dreamed of, but you are the perfect victim. If you are looking for someone to, to kill because you have such a strong urge, it's you?

kristen story_kristen:

Take that out on Thein itself

kristen story_dj:

Oh my God.

kristen story_kristen:

Rest in peace to Kaylee. hope her family was able to find some closure with, Winning their case. Um, and actually having a wall go in effect, but

kristen story_dj:

Yeah, that's powerful. I mean, it's, it's a terrible, terrible loss and I feel bad for her family. It really sucks. Um, When you just see it, both stories that we talked about two young women at the prime of their life, you know, they're doing great, starting their careers, you know, like going to school, whatever the case is. And then here comes a man with some, for whatever reason decides to just take these women from us. It's so sick. Oh my God. That was a great story, Kristen sad, but, I never heard that story. That was a wild ride. He was like, they went from here to here. I'm like no fucking way. No. And he's telling everybody about it, girl.

kristen story_kristen:

But like he can't wait and I think he did in a sense, want some type of notoriety or fame for doing it.

kristen story_dj:

Like it's. It's not what you did was not heroic and it, Ugh, disgusting. Disgusting. I hate when people, people like him and, uh, Richard Ramirez who like kill for, for infamy and stuff like that. I'm like, you're a really fucking sick narcissist piece of shit.

kristen story_kristen:

Right. And you are not even yesterday's news.

kristen story_dj:

You see how he's barely a footnote?

kristen story_kristen:

Right, right, right.

kristen story_dj:

kristen story_dj:

Um, well, it's a small thing, but I did finally invest in poly Joe. I watched a thousand YouTube videos. Cause I got my nails done for Christmas and that shit cost, uh,$8,000. I was like, this shit is so expensive to get your nails and your feet done. It's too much,

kristen story_kristen:

To March

kristen story_dj:

for what I want to do. So I was like, you know what, um, one of my posts, friends, friend of the pod still Juntos, she did does her nails apologize. She told me about it. She put me on to it last year and I was like, Hmm, too complicated. But. I was like, you know what, maybe I'm ready to take this project on, bought it. It was like 40 bucks. And look at my nails. I mean, they don't look at

kristen story_kristen:

Um, cause it's my first time doing it. Maybe I'll post my stupid ass hands if y'all want to see my, my, uh, Manicure actually, you know what? I will post it and if it's ugly bully me, because that's the only way that I'll be, that was going to push me to do better. So, um, tell me how ugly it is. So then I can, do better, but yeah, it was fun. I sat there and I watched, I did it and I watched Richardson, which you knew, still need to watch.

kristen story_kristen:

um, watching it, everyone she's is faster than me? Um, I, my height is I, um, got a paint by numbers, which I'm doing a group from work show up my girl, and I started it today and it's really, really therapeutic. A little fresh. I might actually invest in some other brushes. Cause the ones they sent not loving up, not loving them. So besides that, um, I cannot wait to see it finish,

kristen story_dj:

right, man. Bob Ross, I see

kristen story_kristen:

kristen story_dj:

Oh my God. What is it?

kristen story_kristen:

Oh, it's a, it's like a pot. Yeah. But it's sitting on like a table.

kristen story_dj:

Okay. You know what? Let's every week, if we are going to do this, let's be vulnerable. Let's show people our work.

kristen story_kristen:

Um, I would rather eat rocks.
